Crown Coins is officially launching Crown Bingo Live today (Thursday December 18), adding a new feature to its already popular sweepstakes casino experience.

However, clear information and instructions for new features are not always Crown Coins’ strong point, so we’ve pulled together all we know so far to help you make a decision on whether to join in.
What is Crown Bingo Live?
Crown Bingo Live is a bingo game that’s broadcast live on the Crown Coins sweepstakes platform in the US.
It works in a similar way to standard bingo but with a live caller and video feed to create a communal, social event where members can watch and play together online.

Players enter by obtaining bingo cards, and during the live game, winning numbers are daubed automatically rather than players having to mark them. This means that even if players can’t tune in during the event, their numbers will still be auto-daubed and any subsequent prizes awarded.
During the event, if you land a full winning line on your card, it turns green and that’s bingo. If you manage to fill the whole card, the grand prize will be yours to take home!
Can I Win Real Cash from Crown Bingo Live?
Crown Bingo Live works with both of Crown Coins’ currencies: Crown Coins (CC) and Sweeps Coins (SC).
The two forms of bingo seem to be called ‘Casual Coin Bingo’ and ‘Sweeps Bingo’ respectively. When purchasing an entry, players are supplied with one bingo card in CC and another in SC.
That being said, there has been at least one warmup event so far, and players reported not being able to transfer winnings between casino games and Crown Bingo Live. So it seems currency won on slots, for example, cannot be transferred over for use on bingo, and vice versa, which is a little disappointing.
Still, players have reported there’s a ‘Redeem’ option within the Crown Bingo Live area, so it’s expected you can submit a normal redemption request, just like you would from the casino.
Crown Coins has been advertising a “chance to win $10,000,000”, but it’s not clear whether this is a possible grand prize or whether it’s the total prize pot.
Who Can Play Crown Bingo Live?
It seems that any player with a Crown Coins account can join Crown Bingo Live, even players in jurisdictions where sweepstakes games have been banned, like New York.
Indeed, New York recently passed a new law to ban sweepstakes casinos, and this legislation has already come into effect. However, SweepsKings has seen emails and Reddit comments targeted at NY players inviting them to play Crown Bingo Live.
Yes, Crown Coins already appears to be offering casino games via CC (free) play to users in states where sweepstakes games have been banned. Therefore, we’re assuming players in these states can only participate in Casual Coin Bingo (CC) and not Sweeps Bingo (SC). Offering SC play to residents of states like NY would likely contravene their anti-sweeps laws.
How Do I Enter Crown Bingo Live?
It seems the purchasing of bingo cards is handled under the ‘Crown Prime’ service. Here, a single bingo card ($2) allows players to join one event, whereas a subscription ($19.99) enters players automatically into every event during the subscription period.
According to Crown Coins, all elements of this new feature should appear on the Crown Bingo home screen within the Crown Coins website and app. Players will be able to access:
- Cards purchases and subscriptions
- Live events
- Results
- Events calendar
Some players who took part in the warm up event commented on the official Crown Coins Subreddit:
“I bought 10 Bingo cards for 19.99 and won 22.00. It doesn’t look like you can convert the money to your SCs from what I can tell. I can only cash out or buy more cards. That’s the only bummer. I thought it would convert over so I could spin slots with it. Other than that it was fun. Went fast though.” – Average-Little
“I spent 20 won 2. There was no payout table or anything so you don’t know what you have won. There is no player interaction at all. You have your cards it marks them if you match a number and that’s it. You don’t even hit a button or anything to signal you have got a bingo. I was very unimpressed with it as a whole. Lots of room for improvement. And please get rid of that guy calling numbers” – Competitive-Pie8641
Let’s hope that Crown Coins can take player feedback on board and make improvements as part of the official launch and going forward. If they do, we could expect Crown Bingo Live to be a fun and regular occassion on the calendar for sweepstakes casino players.
The first official event happens later today, so open the Crown Coins site or app and head to the Crown Bingo Live section to get involved.
