Taking place in the mean streets of Paris, this game introduced Smokey as well as a lot of the features that would come to be associated with the franchise. The 10,000x max win may be a little low compared to other games. However, frequent rainbow symbols, as well as the combinations of a 96.34% RTP and medium volatility, mean that you never have to wait too long for a decent win.

Le Pharaoh Slot Review
As soon as the ancient Egyptian-themed Le Pharaoh came out, the Le Bandit vs Le Pharaoh discussions began. Because while there are similar mechanics, Le Pharaoh introduced a new bonus, implemented paylines, and brought in a cool respins feature that activates on all wins.
RTP in this one was bumped up a fraction to 96.35%, as was the max win up to 15,000x — although medium volatility was kept the same. Le Viking Slot Review
Le Viking is the highest volatility Le slot. It’s very difficult to get decent-sized wins in the base game — and instead, you’ll need to reach the respins bonus to have a chance of a good win. The bonus buy feature is available in this slot. However, Le Viking introduced a special bonus feature in Journey to Valhalla that could not be bought.

Le Zeus is a medium-high volatility slot that sees Smokey impersonating Zeus. The big difference in this game is the inclusion of mystery symbols and the bonus features that it introduces. In the base game, Le Cowboy uses similar mechanics to Le Bandit. Le Beef is a reskin of Le Bandit for Beef casino. In complete honesty, I don’t know anything about this casino, and had never even heard of Le Beef prior to researching this guide. However, I played it on a demo site, and to be blunt, it is a very lazy reskin of Le Bandit with a slightly different color scheme.
Le Fisherman Slot Review
Le Fisherman is the only current Le game with low-medium volatility. But don’t let that fool you into thinking that there are fewer bonus features — because Le Fisherman introduces a wide range of exciting new bonus features that make it one of the best Le slots for bonus lovers. And with a 96.33% RTP, it’s got one of the highest RTP scores of all non-reskinned Hacksaw Le slots.
The only minor downside is the slightly lower-than-average 15,000x max win.
Le Bunny Slot Review
Le Bunny is yet another reskin of Le King. Same 96.14% RTP, same 20,000x max, same medium volatility, and same gameplay and bonus mechanics. Personally, I actually think the image of the grumpy Smokey in a poorly fitting Easter Bunny outfit is kind of funny. However, like Le Santa, this is just a festive reskin.
Upcoming Le Games
On the horizon, we have two new Le slots by Hacksaw Gaming coming: Le Digger and Le Football Fan. We know pretty much nothing about these two. Although with an expected release of mid-June for Le Football Fan, I think a World Cup theme is a safe bet, and we may just see Smokey turn into his inner hooligan.

Key Differences Between the Le Series
Unlike a lot of slot franchises, the Le slots are usually pretty different from one another. Of course, some are just reskins. But these reskins are in the minority. And when you look at the fresh games, while they may borrow an idea here or there, they’re all pretty different in how they play. Some have paylines, others use payways, and others still use cluster payouts.
Similarly, while bonuses are important in all Le slots — how they tend to play is wildly different between titles. Some games have a hold & win kind of bonus, others go for more traditional free spins.
Though even if you pick two Le slots that both offer traditional free spins like Le Bandit and Le Fisherman, the actual intricacies in how these bonuses play still make them feel distinct.
What Makes a Slot Part of the ‘Le’ Series
With so many differences, the only thing that really makes a Le slot a Le slot is both the name, and Smokey. There are some Hacksaw Gaming titles that play similarly — like Ze Zeus and Zeus Ze Zecond (similar to Le Bandit and Le Zeus in particular). But to fit in the Le series, you need two things. One is of course to have Le in the title, and the second is to have a cranky French-speaking raccoon in a disguise as your mascot.
Do We Really Need More ‘Le’ Slots?
When people see Smokey pop up in multiple games, they often wonder, how many Le slots are there? Then when they find out there are 10+ Le slots with more on the way, they ask ‘Why?’. And the reason is, it’s a trustworthy game. They feel unique, they offer good RTP — and even for casual players who may not be familiar with Hacksaw Gaming, when they see a Le slot, they know it will be good.
Of course, it’s impossible to deny there have been a couple of reskins lately. And if new Le slots are just going to be reskins of old Le slots, I think it would be better to create a new game and franchise altogether. However, if Hacksaw Gaming can keep the creative juices flowing, and so long as they don’t stop creating original games altogether, I see no reason why the Le slots shouldn’t continue.
Which ‘Le’ Slot Should You Play?
The Le slots are all great games. And you should definitely try them all. But to avoid giving a cop-out answer, I polled the entire SweepsKings team to get their say on what they thought the best Hacksaw Le slot is.
Best for newcomers is an easy one — Le Bandit all the way. For best bonuses, Le Viking and Le Zeus were popular picks — though Le Fisherman edged them both out. For big wins, it was neck and neck between Le Cowboy and Le King (as well as the Le King reskins).
Meanwhile, for overall best Hacksaw Le slot, my pick of Le Cowboy didn’t even make the top three. And instead, coming in at third was Le Viking. Second place went to the original Le Bandit. And for first place, edging out all others in RTP as well as popularity, was Le Pharaoh.
Though to cap it off, does this mean Le Pharaoh is the only one worth playing? No. And on a personal level, Le Pharaoh didn’t even make my top three.
