Casinio is filled to the brim with 3,700+ diverse games from 30 software companies, offers some of the biggest purchase bonuses I’ve ever seen, and delivers a pretty decent no deposit reward worth 100,000 GC + 2 free SC after you sign up and verify your phone/email address.

You’ll end up with another 100,000 GC and 2 free SC after completing KYC verification, bringing your total (truly free) bonus up to 200,000 GC + 4 free SC when it’s all said and done. However, this site isn’t a great choice if you’re after continuous daily rewards or ongoing AMOE credits.

Customer support is mediocre at best. Higher redemption limits are gated behind a paywall, as you have to make GC purchases to progress through the VIP program and unlock this benefit. Finally, Casinio’s UX needs improvement, and slower loading speeds can get annoying quickly.

I tested Casinio to see whether it’s worth signing up here, and I’m sharing my findings below.

The platform currently operates in 36 U.S. states. Unfortunately, it’s possible to sign up using a VPN, but you won’t be able to redeem prizes until you complete KYC in full.

How Casinio Social Casino Works

Casinio doesn’t reinvent the wheel: as expected, you can play games with Gold Coins (GC) and Sweepstakes Coins (SC). You’ll use Gold Coins to play for fun and Sweepstakes Coins for the chance to win cash prizes. You’ll receive both GC and SC when you sign up and verify your email/phone.

While there’s technically no purchase required to explore casino-style games and redeem cash prizes, the limited ongoing Casinio bonuses mean you’ll probably have to buy coins sooner or later. GC is readily available for purchase, and every GC package comes with a set number of bonus SC.

Your Sweeps Coins have a 1x playthrough requirement before you can redeem them for prizes, but this figure can be made higher at the casino’s discretion.

I didn’t get anything immediately after signing up with Casinio. I had to open my profile and send two OTP codes to my email address and mobile number. After confirming both, I got 100,000 GC and 2 free SC. I also collected 100,000 GC and 2 free SC after completing KYC verification.

While the official Casinio no deposit bonus is 100,000 GC + 2 free SC, you can easily start out with 200,000 GC + 4 free SC if you want to do the legwork ahead of time.

Regrettably, Casinio doesn’t have a standard daily bonus or any ongoing promotions, such as social media giveaways. This makes it difficult to claim free SC without buying Gold Coins. I’m happy that 4 SC is technically available via the no-deposit bonus and KYC, but it won’t go far.

The only other truly free bonus is the mail-in reward system. However, you’re limited to just one request per day, which means you can get a maximum of 2 free SC per day.

Even the site’s VIP benefits are stuck behind an indeterminate number of GC purchases. The initial progression rate looks promising, since you only need 50 XP to get to Level 2, but when I bought $4.99 worth of coins, I only got 10 XP.

Support refused to explain how many XP are credited with each purchase, making the process feel less than transparent. If you do purchase enough coins to climb the ladder, you can expect daily coinback, access to 24/7 chat support, higher redemption limits, and faster transactions.

It’s odd that more than 1,000 slots and specialties come from KA Gaming, but the rest of the collection is diversified pretty equally among reputable providers like Spadegaming, Booming Games, Endorphina, ICONIC21, and Slotmill.

There’s also a nice array of newer companies you don’t often see. For example, Barbara Bang, Shady Lady, Espresso Games, and Funky Games prioritize stellar graphics and unique ideas.

Casinio is compatible with Apple Pay, GPay, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for GC purchases. Redemptions are issued through gift cards and bank transfers, but no matter which method you choose, you’ll have to win at least 100 SC before requesting a prize.

Unfortunately, you’re limited to redeeming 2,000 SC per day, 5,000 SC per week, or 20,000 SC per month until you achieve a suitable VIP status.

You’re never required to purchase coins before playing games at Casinio, but its banking menu covers the basics if you decide to top up. The process of buying coins is also straightforward.

If you have an Apple product, the easiest way to buy GC is Apple Pay. After scanning the QR code with my smartphone, I authorized my transaction and got coins credited instantly. Entering your debit or credit card information is just as simple, but takes a little more time.

Before you redeem prizes for the first time, you’ll have to complete KYC verification. I had to upload proof of address and submit a photo of my ID. After a day or so of waiting around, my documents were verified. From there, I could request a gift card or cash prize.

It takes 2 – 14 days for prizes to reach you after approval. Gift cards are on the quicker end of this spectrum, while manual bank transfers are (admittedly) on the slower end.

Is Casinio Social Casino Legit?

From my experience with the brand, Casinio appears to be a legitimate sweepstakes casino. It’s definitely new, which deducts a few points in my eyes, but it checks the right boxes. For starters, all the games here come from reputable software providers and feature verifiable RTP rates.

It’s owned and operated by Parea Gaming, Inc., a newer iGaming company based in Delaware. Because Casinio is a sweeps casino, it doesn’t require a license to operate. It still prioritizes clear T&C’s, enforces KYC before redemptions are allowed, and has a 1x playthrough on SC.

There is a clause in the Terms and Conditions that says “at least” 1x, but I only had to spend 10 SC before I had a balance of 10 redeemable SC. Unfortunately, one big problem exists. There is no Responsible Gameplay Policy, despite this being mentioned in the T&C’s and Sweeps Rules.

Customer support is a low point at Casinio. I was disappointed to see that live chat is limited to VIP players only, and the email support team took over 24 hours to respond to my message. It’s worth noting that there are two separate email hotlines for general support and user complaints.

I was surprised to find a phone number in the T&C’s, but when I called, I received an automated message that the number hadn’t been set up yet. Finally, there are no social media channels for Casinio, so you’re limited to sending an email if you want to get in touch.

Casinio’s user interface feels modern at first glance, but the lag I experienced when switching between menus, games, and webpages made me think otherwise. I made sure to test the site on two separate Internet connections, so I know it’s an issue with the website and not my WiFi.

Thankfully, most of my other UI feedback is positive. Slots and live casino games are displayed front-and-center on the homepage. I didn’t like needing to search for virtual tables and specialty games manually, but having the option to check and uncheck different providers helps with that.

Similarly, the left-side menu (condensed to the bottom row on mobile) lets you see upcoming bonuses, view your recently played games, get a handle on your VIP status, or switch between English and Spanish. If you happen to be a VIP player, you can also access chat support here.

Even compared to its competitors, Casinio has an impressive gaming collection that sits slightly above KingPrize and below Lucky Bunny, which takes the cake with 6,000+ titles. The no deposit bonus here is admittedly low, but if you factor in the KYC bonus, you’ll get more than enough to start.

Where Casinio really excels is its 200% first purchase bonus, which offers up to 600 SC for just $199.99. Better still is that your bonus SC is tied to 1x playthrough requirements, as were mine.

Still, KingPrize does Casinio one better with a dedicated iOS app and no lag when moving from page to page. Chip’n WIN also deserves recognition. Even though it has a smaller game collection, you can transform your Crystals to SC or other rewards.

Casinio is definitely worth your time if you’re looking for a strong game collection, plenty of free SC to complement your initial purchase, and 1x playthrough requirements to go along with that.

Being able to spend on a 200% bonus worth 600 free SC, tied to a 1x playthrough, isn’t something you see every day. However, if smooth loading speeds, quick redemptions, immediate support, or daily rewards are your main concern, I’d steer clear for the moment.

It has its perks, but as of right now, the flaws outweigh the benefits for certain groups of players.
