BigPirate Sweepstakes Casino Review

Launched in late 2025, BigPirate Casino caters to players in many US states and Canada. Available in English and Spanish, BigPirate is the first social casino to debut from Rafflefy Limited, with the operator based in Cyprus.

Like many recently launched sweepstakes casinos, BigPirate puts a focus on adventure, not just gameplay, and there are tournaments, challenges, and a rewards program that attest to that.

BigPirate Social Casino launched with 1,500+ games from 20+ developers, and through its use of Diamonds, Rum, and Claw Machine Credits, does things a little differently from its counterparts. Don’t worry about that, though, as I’ll explain them all in my BigPirate review.

Legal States

This Cyprus-based sweepstakes casino supports players in the US and Canada, but you must be aged 21 or older to register and play for free or real prizes.

Gameplay is prohibited for players in California, Connecticut, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.

How BigPirate Social Casino Works

BigPirate Casino adheres to the same no purchase necessary rules as other sweepstakes casinos, but it does things a little differently in terms of its virtual currencies. Gold Coins (GC) are still used for free gameplay, with Sweepstakes Coins (SC) redeemable, and known as Diamonds at this site.

The social casino also has two other virtual currencies, of sorts. The first, called Rum, can be picked up through daily login bonuses, coin purchases, and other promos. It can be spent in the Reward Market on goodies, including free plays and Claw Machine Credits.

Claw Machine Credits represent the second bizarre virtual currency. It allows you to play a grabber (claw) machine, where you can acquire Diamonds and free plays if you strike it lucky. You can also bag Claw Machine Credits as bonuses through coin purchases. I initially found it a confusing system, but within minutes, it became second nature. You should have no trouble adjusting to these extra virtual currencies.

Immediately after registering at BigPirate, I was treated to 20,000 GC and 2 Diamonds, as well as 2 Rum. This sign-up no deposit bonus is enough to get you started in style, and you won’t need to verify your account to start using it.

BigPirate has two first purchase bonuses, and they are considerably different in terms of what they offer.

• 150% Extra: Bag 250,000 GC, 25 Diamonds, 1 Rum, and 1 Claw Machine Credit for $9.99.
• 100% Extra: 2,000,000 GC, 200 Diamonds, 10 Rum, and 5 Claw Machine Credits for $99.99.

Either way, you’ll be on the receiving end of a great deal, whichever of these two first purchase offers you choose to go with.

Personally, I found the 150% deal perfect for having a quick session. If you intend on sticking around, then the 100% deal could be better suited to your needs.

Bonuses Review

BigPirate has no shortage of promotions for you to consider. Some focus more on GC, while others represent great sources of Claw Machine Credits, Rum, and Diamonds. Here’s what I found while playing:

• Daily Login Bonus: Open treasure chests to win between 5,000 GC and 100,000 GC. It isn’t impossible to net free Diamonds, Rum, or free Claw Machine Credits, either.

• Wheel of Fortune: Play 100,000 GC and earn a spin on a fortune wheel, where you could win up to 100,000 GC in rewards.
• Tournaments: BigPirate runs a trio of tournaments. I love the Live Social Casino Prize Pool, which offers up to 1,000,000 GC to members who play 5,000 GC or more on eligible games. There are also Slot of the Week and Monthly Prize Races, and these prize pools offer Diamonds to the tune of 1,000 and 2,500, respectively.
• AMOE: Claim 2 free Diamonds by mailing a handwritten letter to the address shown, according to the instructions on the promotions page.
• Special Offers: BigPirate has three special offers on the fly. These provide between 10 – 40% extra currency, up to 1,400,000 GC, 140 Diamonds, 10 Rum and 5 Claw Machine Credits.
• Reward Market: Head to the Reward Market to use any Rum you’ve acquired. I was able to purchase 1 Claw Machine Credit for 20 Rum, and 5 free spins for 30 Rum, just to give you an idea of what’s up for grabs.
• VIP Club: There are five tiers to BigPirate’s VIP scheme, with all players entering at the first level. I wouldn’t necessarily call 24/7 live chat access a perk, but BigPirate believes it is. Actual benefits include a dedicated VIP manager, free Rum, special purchase packages, birthday gifts, and Share of the Plunder deals from your VIP host. Regrettably, redemption times (and limits) are also tied to your VIP status. I’ll touch more on that in the payments section.

BigPirate Casino-Style Games

Let me begin by saying that I didn’t find anything close to the 10,000+ games advertised at BigPirate. Instead, I counted 1,590+ options, ranging from slots to table games, live dealers, scratch and bingo games, and exclusive releases. The latter is a really nifty touch, and for once, I was delighted to see exclusive games that weren’t just based on Plinko and Crash titles.

Expect to find around 20 software providers at BigPirate. The biggest names will excite you, and include Evolution, Shady Lady, and Hacksaw. However, you’ve also got a few up-and-coming providers like Popiplay and AvatarUX offering more bespoke and less mainstream titles.

You’ve got a left-hand menu that features the main categories, a central menu running across the gaming library that gives you a few more options, and a set of filters found at the bottom of each page. BigPirate supports a well-rounded selection of run-of-the-mill options for both purchases and redemptions. There’s nothing new here, but I wish gift cards were supported, but I definitely have no issues with the array of methods available.

Payment Options Review

First, let’s talk about redemptions, because I’m not happy here. I have absolutely no issues with the 50 Diamond minimum redemption limit – that’s fair game. I’m not impressed with the redemption times, though, as they are tied to your VIP level.

Players on the first two VIP tiers must wait up to 72 hours for redemptions to clear. This drops to 48 hours for VIP Level 3 members, and is within 24 hours for levels 4 and 5. Your VIP status also determines your caps. All players also have $5,000 daily redemption limits in place, but these rise to $60,000, $78,000, $96,000, and $120,000 a month if you’re a VIP Level 2, 3, 4, or VIP Level 5 player.

Redemptions aren’t paid out until you verify your account. Diamonds have a 1x playthrough rate, and there’s a win cap of $5,000 in place for Floridians, but that’s normal.

Is BigPirate Casino Legit?

I wasn’t able to dig up too many juicy details on Rafflefy, the operator behind BigPirate. By all accounts, this is the first foray in the sweepstakes casino world.

They are based in Cyprus, and without sister sites to go off and compare them with, I can’t honestly say that they’ll stick around. However, from what I’ve experienced, they support good responsible gameplay tools, have fair T&Cs, and excellent support, so all the signs point towards BigPirate’s social casino site being legit and trustworthy.

BigPirate is set up well if you want to play games via your laptop’s web browser. Playing via mobiles is still possible, but I felt like things were a little crowded. I tested BigPirate on both iOS and Android devices (using a browser), and the situation was relatively the same. Either a native app or a more streamlined interface wouldn’t hurt.

How It Stacks Up

As you can see, compared to hugely successful new social casinos like Rolla, BigPirate is lacking in terms of bonuses and games. However, it holds its own rather well against most other new sites, further solidifying my view that this could be a choice worth considering for social casino players.

Our Experts Verdict

BigPirate Casino definitely has positive elements and one or two things I don’t like.

While I’m no fan of the VIP-based redemption times and limits, most of the other parts of the social casino hit. I especially love the inclusion of the Claw Machine mini-game, the surplus of live games from Evolution, and the overall value in the coin packages. It may be a new and unproven option, but I think BigPirate is worth a closer look.
