Editor's Note

Hacksaw’s Le Cowboy tackles the common Wild West theme in an original fashion, I appreciate their take. The minimum bet here is 0.05, making this their cheapest game release ever. And with 25,000x up for grabs, there are certainly big wins to be had. In terms of features, there isn’t anything new – just reskinned features from their previous Le releases. What stood out to me was the Gamble feature, opening the way to bonus upgrades or cash prizes. That being said, the results I got while testing Le Cowboy’s bonus gamble weren’t great.

Released in November 2025, Le Cowboy follows the popular Hacksaw Gaming raccoon, Smokey, on his latest adventure into the Wild West.

Since the character’s debut in Le Bandit, it has toured around the world, and this time, it dons a Stetson for medium-volatility action on a 6×5 grid with a decent RTP of 96.28%.

But this isn’t just a simple reskin, as Hacksaw Gaming has introduced some standout features for this epic Western showdown, including Revolver Reveals, which can reveal hidden prizes, Loot Bags, or massive multipliers.

If you’re ready to step into the saloon and win real Sweeps Coin (SC) prizes on Le Cowboy, sign up and play at Stake.us or the other listed sweeps casinos. But first, read through my review of the game and learn all you need to know.

About Le Cowboy: Game Overview

Le Cowboy Game

I’ve always enjoyed following Hacksaw Gaming’s raccoon, Smokey, on his global escapades. One moment, he’s causing chaos as Le Zeus on Mount Olympus, the next he’s sliding down chimneys as Le Santa and delivering presents.

He’s also been Le Viking, a famous popstar in Le King, and a pyramid explorer in Le Pharaoh, and his latest stop sees him become Le Cowboy.

All the action goes down on a 6×5 grid, with Smokey looking suspicious in the bottom left corner. You will need to land clusters of 5 or more matching symbols to form a win, and when this happens, those symbols vanish and new ones fall in their place until there are no new wins.

The game is built with medium volatility, which I find to be a great sweet spot, as it means you get a steady stream of action to keep you engaged while holding out for big wins. It’s even better when you consider that the top prize is an incredible 25,000x and that the RTP sits at 96.28%.

Le Cowboy Slot Information

Le Cowboy Paytable

Getting started with Le Cowboy is straightforward. The game is built on a 6-reel, 5-row grid and uses a Cluster Pays system. This means you win by landing groups of 5 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically anywhere on the grid. As mentioned, they then vanish in a cascade and make room for new ones to drop down.

You can play with as little as 0.05 or all the way up to 40. I find this range quite flexible and perfect for any playing style. Once you’ve set your play level with the up and down buttons, hit the Spin button.

As for the symbols, they are split into low-paying classic card royals (10, J, Q, K, A), which can award up to 50x, and high-paying western-themed icons.

The cowboy hat and cactus can each grant up to 75x, while the pistols and skulls can get you 100x. The sheriff’s badge is the most valuable symbol and lands you 200x for a 14+ symbol cluster.

Le Cowboy Slot Features

Le Cowboy Features

Hacksaw Gaming is renowned for making on-theme bonus features, and it certainly didn’t disappoint in the Le Cowboy slot release.

Wild and Scatters

The Wanted Poster acts as the slot’s wild and substitutes for all regular symbols to form winning clusters. It also plays a big role in triggering the Revolver Reveals feature, which I’ll explain below.

The scatter is represented by the Free Spins symbol, and it does its usual job of triggering any of the slot’s three bonus rounds. You cannot land it at the same time as the Revolver Reveals in the base game.

Revolver Reveals

You trigger this feature in the base game whenever you land a winning cluster that includes a wild. It instantly turns into a revolver cylinder with 2 to 6 shots.

After the cascades finish, the cylinder fires at random positions on the grid, and each shot can reveal:

  • Coins: Can upgrade from bronze (1x-4x) to silver (5x -20x) to gold (25x to 100x) when hit repeatedly
  • Diamonds: Provide the best instant prizes worth 150x to 500x
  • Clovers: Multiply adjacent (green clovers) or all values on the grid (gold clovers) up to 20x
  • Loot bags: Collect the values of all revealed coins, diamonds, and loot bags, make new ones reappear, and pick up their values
  • Reloads: Refill your revolver cylinders with up to 6 new shots

High Noon Saloon

You trigger this feature by landing 3 scatter symbols. Before the round starts, you can choose to gamble for an upgrade to the Trail of Trickery bonus or 3 types of cash prizes (1x to 4x, 5x to 20x, or 25x to 100x your bet).

If you ignore the gamble option and decide to play the feature, you get 10 free spins in the base game with an increased chance of triggering the Revolver Reveals.

Trail of Trickery

Hitting 4 scatter symbols in the base game will trigger this feature and reward you with 10 free spins. You also get the same gamble option for a chance to enter the Pistols at Dawn bonus round or grab cash prizes, which now also include diamonds with multipliers of up to 500x.

If you decide to stay, the Trail of Trickery round includes all the features of High Noon Saloon, but it adds the Bullet Collector.

Every winning cluster that you land during the feature adds a bullet to the collector, and in the end, Smokey shoots all of them at the grid to reveal coins, diamonds, clovers, or loot bags.

Pistols at Dawn Hidden Epic Bonus

This is the ultimate bonus round and can be triggered with 5 scatter symbols. It features all the mechanics of the Trail of Trickery, but with the Bullet Collector being progressive.

It starts at 5 bullets and activates on every free spin after the revolver cylinders fire. After activating, it resets to the value it held before that spin and continues collecting from the coming wins.

Even better, only silver coins and higher can appear, so your chances of winning big and touching the 25,000x max win are greatest here.

Feature Buy

You can also skip the hunt and head straight to the action with four different feature buy options:

  • BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 3x your bet; you are five times more likely to trigger a bonus game
  • Wild West FeatureSpins: 75x your bet; at least two Wild symbols are guaranteed to land on every spin
  • High Noon Saloon: 65x your bet
  • Trail of Trickery: 250x your bet

Game Specs: RTP & Volatility

Le Cowboy RTP

Le Cowboy has a volatility score of 3/5, which means you can expect regular payouts with occasional sizable returns. The base game offers a strong RTP of 96.28% but changes when you choose to use a feature buy:

  • 96.33% when you buy a bonus, but decide not to gamble it
  • 96.20% on the first gamble
  • 96.10% on the second gamble
  • 96.24% in BonusHunt FeatureSpins (lower if you gamble during any triggered bonuses)

200 Spins Test of Le Cowboy

As I like to do when trying out games for the first time, I played my first 15 spins on Le Cowboy with 1 coin. By the sixth one, I landed a cluster with a wild and got a revolver with 3 bullets. This only got me 3 bronze coins for a total of 4 credits. I repeated a similar feat on my 14th spin for another 4 credit win, this time from 2 bronze coins.

I was feeling pretty good, though I had pretty much the same amount I’d started with, so I decided to up my play to 3 coins per spin. By my 70th spin, nothing much had changed. There were a few minor wins, some dry spells in between, and then the Revolver Reveals feature to spice things up occasionally.

I did manage to hit 5x silver coins twice for 30 credit wins, but my balance had gone down a bit, so I reduced my play per spin to 1 and triggered the BonusHunt FeatureSpins for 3x. This meant I was being charged 3 for every 1 credit spin. I didn’t mind, though, as I needed to trigger one of the free spins rounds.

Over the next 50 spins, I managed to snag the High Noon Saloon feature twice, but was disappointed on both occasions. The first only got me 9 coins after 12 free spins, while the second resulted in 78.80 coins. It totally wasn’t worth it, as I had played well over 100 credits before I could trigger both rounds.

Le Cowboy Win

I kept spinning the reels with BonusHunt FeatureSpins active and noticed that I barely even triggered the Revolver Reveals again. The last 75 spins followed the same pattern; I trigger the High Noon Saloon bonus twice every 25 spins and get total wins of around 100 coins after burning through way more than it took to get there.

It was shaping up to be a pretty uneventful session until the 198th spin, when I again triggered the High Noon Saloon feature and this time hit multiple Gold Coins and Clovers for a notable 446 win.

Le Cowboy Big Win

It certainly didn’t put me in the green, but it did enough to recover most of my losses. By my final spin, my balance was 40 credits lower than when I started, which was surprisingly impressive for such a poor session.
