About Le Zeus: Game Overview

Le Zeus is the fifth installment of Hacksaw’s series of slot games featuring mascot Smokey the Raccoon.

The game keeps the 20,000x maximum win of its predecessor, Le King, which is double the 10,000x max multiplier of Le Bandit, the game that started this whole series back in 2023.

The base-game volatility is medium, and the number of paylines is 19. This keeps the mechanics fairly beginner-friendly. You are also looking at a 6×5 outline, while the RTP sits at 96.26%.

When it comes to features, Mystery symbols take center stage with Le Zeus. They land on reels 2-5 and reveal cool stuff like Diamonds, Coins, Pots of Gold, and Clovers. These special symbols unlock as instant cash prizes, the Collect feature, or straight-up multipliers.

In terms of appearance, Smokey ascends to the divines of Ancient Greece in this one, with a rod of lightning in his hand and a laurel wreath on his head.

There are 10 regular symbols: four are letters of the Greek alphabet (and they pay out the least), and six are related to Ancient Greek culture, whether it’s combat, entertainment, or architecture. There is also the Wild symbol, which substitutes for all symbols in the paytable.

Le Zeus Slot Information

The 6×5 structure is staple for the “Le Slots” series, and so are the 10 regular symbols. The Greek alphabet symbols I mentioned (Alpha, Delta, Pi, Phi) are minor ones with low payouts, while the rest qualify as major or high-paying symbols.

There are 19 paylines, which contribute to Le Zeus’ medium volatility, and the bet levels go from 0.1 to 50 coins, depending on where you play your slots. Note that some of the Bonus Buy rounds have high volatility.

These are the basics, but then the Mystery Reveal feature enters the chat. The Mystery symbol looks like a lightning rod. It can only appear on reels 2 through 5, and it will reveal high-paying symbols, Wilds, or Mystery Reels.

The Mystery Reels can reveal Coins, Diamonds, Clovers, and a Pot of Gold. The first two are cash prizes, Clovers are multipliers, and the Pot of Gold is your basic Collect feature. More on that in the next segment.

Per usual, the Le Zeus Wild symbol works as a substitute for every other symbol in the game.

Also included in the mix are FS Scatter symbols. These can land anywhere, and although they pay nothing, they can summon the gods and activate a host of specials I’ll talk about in a second. You will need at least 3 of these symbols to activate a Le Zeus bonus round.

200 Spins Test of Le Zeus

I started my Le Zeus test run slow and easy, with 5 coin bets and just the base game. For 25 spins, the run was nothing to write home about, but then, at round 26, I landed a 78 coin win. Not bad!

For about a dozen rounds, not much happened, but then, at spin 42, I hit Bolt & Run. This was fun to watch, and I scored a 165.5 win!

50 spins in, I was up 97 coins from the starting 5k balance. I kept grinding until the 75th spin, and my balance was 29 coins up from the starting point. It was time to switch things up, and that’s where things took a turn for the worse.

I activated FeatureSpins for the next 25 spins. This did not end well. I got pretty much nothing and was now down 210 coins from the starting point. Smokey had an angry face on, and so did I.

Therefore, I picked things up a notch and activated Le God Mode, but with a 3 coin initial wager (meaning 150 coins per Le God Mode Spin). Now I had guaranteed Mystery Reels. On the fourth spin, my luck took a turn for the better, and I landed a 539.4 Epic Mega Win.

After 25 of these spins, though, things were not looking good for me, at all. Sure, you get wins that seem large, but considering the initial bet size, that wasn’t enough. At spin 125 in total, I was down over 800 coins.

So I decided to go back to basic play for 50 more spins, but with an 8 coin bet. Still, I just couldn’t get a break… Mostly small wins, down 1,115 coins from ground zero at this point… With 25 spins left, I decided to return to Featurespins for 20 of them. This was frustrating because while I landed two FS Scatters multiple times, I never got more. I was now down over 1,600 coins, and wasn’t happy.

But I might as well explore! With a 5 coin wager, I activated Myth-Taken Identity. This cost me 1,500 credits for a single round, and the result was…

Awful. The result was a 205 win. I was down, I was out, but I figured to activate Bolt & Run just for the fun of it. With 400 credits spent for activation, the 8 free spins resulted in 32.5 won. Seriously?

That was mostly it. I did 3 more regular spins to round up the 200-spin test. The bottom line is that I was down hard. From a 5k balance, I ended up with 1,707.7. But I had fun. If this was a Sweeps Coins test run, I would approach it with smaller stakes and a longer grind than 200 spins. This was a risky play because I wanted to explore the fun features. I was up during the initial phase, and I recommend sticking to lower risk if you’re looking to explore Le Zeus.
