ClubWPT is a sweepstakes poker platform and a social casino. The site is owned and operated by Club Services Inc., and it launched in 2008, making it one of the pioneers in the online gambling industry.

The casino and poker site hybrid offers around 80 casino-style games, including slots, table games, and more. It also has a myriad of poker rooms and tournaments, allowing you to relax and play casually for fun, or compete against other players for a chance to win real cash prizes.

ClubWPT is available to players who are 18 years or older and reside in the US, Canada, France, the UK, and Australia. In the US, ClubWPT is not available in several states, including Georgia, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and South Dakota.

How ClubWPT Works

ClubWPT places a big emphasis on fun and entertainment. Instead of real cash, ClubWPT offers two virtual currencies: Play Chips and Tournament Points. These coins have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real cash or cash prizes. Similarly, you cannot swap Play Chips for Tournament Points or vice versa.

Play Chips are used to play casino games and poker for fun. On the other hand, you can use Tournament Points to join a variety of tournaments where you can win real cash — up to $100,000 is up for grabs every month in cash.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to join cash reward tournaments unless you’re a VIP or a Diamond member — you can either purchase a membership or you can join through alternative means of entry, which I’ll cover in the bonus section.

ClubWPT Bonuses

ClubWPT allows you to claim 5,000 Play Chips and 500 Tournament Points after signing up for a 14-day trial. Registering is free and you’ll get your coins immediately after you’re done setting up your account — ClubWPT doesn’t have a KYC check during the sign up process.

To claim your Tournament Points, you will have to select a VIP/Diamond plan and enter your credit card information. Even though the registration is free and you can cancel your membership at any time, the entire process seems a tad sketchy.

The good news is that you can avoid risking getting charged for the VIP membership. Simply create your account without entering any credit card information and join the VIP Club afterward by taking advantage of the mail-in bonus, which is exactly what I did.

In addition to the no deposit bonus, ClubWPT has several other ways you can get free coins. With that said, here’s what you can expect and how to get your bonus coins.

• No Deposit Bonus: You can claim the no deposit bonus by creating a free account. You will get 5,000 Play Chips and another 500 Tournament Points if you complete all the steps, use the code WPT2024, and add credit card information.
• Daily Bonus: You can get up to 5,000 Play Chips top off every 24 hours. However, if you already have 5,000 Play Chips in your account or more, you won’t get any extra Play Chips.
• Multi-Hour Bonus: You’ll get 500 Play Chips every 2 hours. To claim the bonus, tap the button at the bottom of the main page. Once you do, the cooldown timer will start and you’ll be able to get an additional 500 Play Chips in another 2 hours.
• Mail-In Bonus: The mail-in bonus allows you to participate in Club Tournaments where you can win real cash prizes, which is one of the privileges you get by becoming a VIP Club member. To get a VIP-like membership for free, you will have to send a postcard letter to ClubWPT’s address at 17877 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 300, Irvine, CA 92614. The membership lasts for 30 days, after which you will have to renew your membership by sending another mail-in request.
• VIP Club: You can become a VIP or a Diamond member without having to send a postcard every 30 days by paying a monthly subscription. Joining the VIP Club is entirely optional, and you will get several perks by doing so, such as the opportunity to qualify for official WPT live events, win cash prizes, gain access to the live event program library, get discounts for live event tickets or merchandise, and more.
• Loyalty Bonus: If you’ve been a VIP member for 3 consecutive months, you can take advantage of the Loyalty Bonus that will net you 10,000 Tournament Points.

ClubWPT offers around 80 casino-style games, including slots, table games, and video poker. Unfortunately, you won’t find any well-known brands at ClubWPT or premium-looking titles loaded with rewarding features — the site offers a handful of proprietary titles, as well as casino games by Spin Games and AGS.

On the flip side, ClubWPT excels in all things poker. The platform has more than 100 ongoing tournaments split into several categories. The cash prize ones are reserved for VIP and Diamond members, and there are also plenty of tournaments you can play for fun using Play Chips.

Games and Software Review

ClubWPT’s lobby is accessible by anyone so you won’t need an account to check out the casino’s games and see what’s available. The site is easy to navigate and you can switch between the casino and poker sections by tapping their corresponding button at the top of the lobby page.

While you cannot sort the games by provider, the site allows you to search for specific games or filter through various tournaments. Similarly, ClubWPT doesn’t display any additional useful information in the game lobby, so you won’t be able to check games’ RTP or minimum bets and maximum wins before you load the game.

ClubWPT offers several coin packages, with the cheapest one being the $4.99. If you don’t want to go through the trouble of sending a postcard request and getting 30-day access to Club Tournaments via alternative means of entry, you can purchase a VIP membership.

You can also become a Diamond member to get even more benefits for $149.95 a month or take advantage of the Super SATurday membership plan for $100 a month that allows you to join exclusive tournaments.

Payment Options Review

ClubWPT features two types of virtual currency. However, none of these currencies are redeemable. To redeem cash prizes, you’ll have to win a cash tournament event, after which a portion of the prize pool will be awarded to your account depending on your placement.

ClubWPT doesn’t offer cash prizes through bonuses and promotions, which means all the cash prizes you win through gaming have no wagering requirements and can be withdrawn immediately.

To purchase coins, tap the Buy Chips button located at the bottom of the lobby page or click on the hamburger menu in the top-left. Once there, simply select the package you want to purchase, add all the required information, and finalize the transaction.

Is ClubWPT Casino Legit?

ClubWPT operates under the sweepstakes model, which means the casino doesn’t have or need a traditional gambling license to operate legally in the US. The company is owned and operated by Club Services Inc. and has been around ever since 2008.

Even though ClubWPT has quite a few negative reviews on platforms like Trustpilot, I believe you should take those reviews with a pinch of salt. More often than not, these reviews are made by disgruntled players after a bad beat or two, which seems to be the case with players claiming ClubWPT is rigged.

While I can’t claim ClubWPT is legit with absolute certainty, I’m fairly positive the site’s running a clean operation. After all, they are owned by the World Poker Tour, so it’s highly unlikely the entire site is rigged just to scam a handful of players for $30 a month.

ClubWPT is the only casino and poker site operated by Club Services, Inc. The platform has a unique operating model, and there aren’t that many sites that are similar to it. The ones that resemble ClubWPT the most are Global Poker, ClubGG, and Clubs Poker, all of which are sweepstakes poker sites.

How It Stacks Up

Both ClubWPT and its competitors bring something unique to the table so it’s a tad difficult to compare them directly. ClubWPT is ideal for new players and has a ton of tournaments you can join throughout the day. On the other hand, Clubs Poker has many more poker variants, which may appeal to players who are looking to try new and exciting game types.

The only notable difference between ClubWPT and its sister sites is the fact that ClubWPT has a subscription model and the only way to win cash prizes is to place highly in cash tournaments. In contrast, Global Poker and Clubs Poker are more similar to traditional sweepstakes casinos and allow you to win cash prizes by redeeming Sweepstakes Coins.

Our Experts Verdict

ClubWPT is an excellent poker platform and I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing it and all the features it has to offer. While the site is far from perfect, ClubWPT offers pretty much everything you’d expect from a sweepstakes platform — a handful of ways to earn free coins, the opportunity to make a hefty profit without spending any cash, and a ton of poker rooms.

The only downside to ClubWPT is its casino section. However, as far as poker goes, ClubWPT is a great place to learn the ropes and get a better feel for how professional poker tournaments are played. And hey, if you decide to up the ante and improve your game, you may even win a WPT live event ticket and try your luck against the big boys.

Overall, I believe the good outweighs the bad and that ClubWPT is absolutely fantastic for poker enthusiasts so make sure you don’t sleep on it and check out for yourself why ClubWPT is regarded as one of the best sweepstakes poker platforms out there.
