MaxDuel is here to satiate your craving for action-filled, dynamic, skill-based games that you can play versus a crowd or go it solo.

At the top of my list for loving MaxDuel are the tournaments. You can create or join a challenge, grind your grit against real contenders and snatch the joint pot. I couldn’t find a single game that was just “meh”.

Although this isn’t the first-ever platform for skill gaming, MaxDuel is climbing that ladder. There is no denying the fact that you can land and take home real-money prizes via crypto.

As the wording suggests, you won’t be playing against a random number generator (i.e. the house) and towards that end, MaxDuel offers games that are provably-fair.

MaxDuel sounds like a gaming site because players can win money, but we’re talking about a separate classification here that rides on its skill-based nature. This raises the question, where is MaxDuel available?

I was surprised that MaxDuel doesn’t limit you from withdrawing your bonus funds. Winners can use this money towards any imminent redemptions after clearing the 1x gameplay requirement. The other meaningful caveat is that the promotion, along with your earned kickbacks, will expire if left unredeemed after 30 days.

MaxDuel’s bonuses may be justifiably underwhelming, but the games definitely aren’t. The platform’s defining trait are its unique games. Don’t expect to find games or providers that you’ve seen at social casinos. All 21 of MaxDuel’s games have been ironed out in the company’s own foundry.

The end result is familiar styles and premises that put your skills to the test while serving as conduits for P2P mayhem.

I tested the interface and found it was made to facilitate MaxDuel’s social gaming nature. You can definitely have fun playing solo games, but in my opinion, the real thrills can be had on any of its 15 Player vs Player games.

To make things even more engaging, there aren’t second-bests here – it’s winner takes all, and by all I mean the entire pot of buy-in funds. And to be sure, my MaxDuel review does reflect on the platform’s commitment to provably fair games.

MaxDuel is founded on the skill-based gaming model. Like the sweepstakes model, skill games are regulated in the US, but are not considered to be games of chance. These games fall somewhere between, so as to allow players to win prizes while relying on their own ability to influence the outcomes.

Certainly, there is an element of chance and this is precisely what independent auditors test for: the games have to depend less on the latter element and MaxDuel passes that test. If in doubt, you can always play a game in demo mode and test its environment, controls, gameplay and the like.

The fact that MaxDuel has crypto payments doesn’t make the platform off-limits for players who prefer fiat payments. Even though the latter is only for inbound transactions, easy deposits can be made with cards or PayPal.

MaxDuel has a minimum deposit of $10.00 and several pre-set amounts, but you can also name your deposit by typing the amount in the box.

Funds that are obtained from the MaxDuel welcome bonus, rakeback or commission, can also be withdrawn and converted into your preferred cryptocurrency after the wagering requirement is cleared.

I didn’t get to redeem a prize during my MaxDuel review, but I’m looking forward to that outcome as soon as I’ve reached my cutoff amount. Based on the UX, both depositing and withdrawing funds is made to be straightforward.

The side menu on your left, or hamburger menu on mobile, lets you choose your action with the click of a button. Proceeding from there on is intuitive and if you hit a snag you can always take it to the help desk via the live chat window.

Reporting back from the operator’s rules page, I didn’t find a limit to how much can be withdrawn in a single day. On the other hand, the company suggests that sums above $2,000 may be disbursed in multiple installments.

Is MaxDuel Legit?

I couldn’t find out who founded MaxDuel, but it’s obvious to see who’s the brand ambassador. That person would be former heavyweight boxing champion in three different associations: Andy Ruiz Jr.

The personage gives credence to the platform, along with the fact that you can’t just create a for-money gaming website and make it available in states where online casinos are forbidden. MQ Technology has covered the legal turf to bring MaxDuel to players in 40 US states.

Also worth mentioning is that MaxDuel didn’t pop-up out of nowhere. The platform has been brewing since the launch of MaxQuest, a now defunct website from the same company. Having played at that website at the time, I can see how parts of it have evolved into the website at hand.

Building a platform for seamless casino or skill-based gaming shouldn’t ever be an issue. Pro websites can be told in a minute and MaxDuel was built by pros. Usually, players hit a snag when it comes to connecting with other players. With the platform at hand, this part of the experience was made to be straightforward and effective.

To start putting together a friends list, navigate to the Challenge Friends button on the menu, then hit the Add a Friend button. In the same interface you can view all of your rooms. You can also block users if it somehow comes to that.

Along the same lines, every P2P game has an icon that opens up the interface, which carries over your friend list, but also shows inbound and outbound friend requests.

Although MaxDuel does not have a native mobile app, its mobile website is optimized for major browsers like Safari and Chrome. Additionally, PC users can install the MaxDuel app in their browser.

Since the latter platform is out of commission, MaxDuel is MQ Technology’s sole skill-based casino. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough legit skill gaming sites for comparison, so I’ll throw social casinos with a decent arcade footprint.

How It Stacks Up

It was clear from the get go that MaxDuel makes a league of its own. There simply aren’t other platforms that offer original games of the same quality.

We may have a runner up in Skillz, but the problem with this website is that the majority of the games are too simple so as to avail a similar level of excitement.

At any rate, one area where this website can improve is the possibility of playing with free funds. MaxDuel’s promotions should be more diverse and offer a free round or two every once in a while.

Our Experts Verdict

With MaxQuest’s shortcomings in mind, MaxDuel’s developers have created a better platform. I can see it growing over time, especially in the games department where there is so much room for innovation. Presently, players can enjoy several exquisite games of skill–and chance–from an in-house developer that passes as legit in my book.

MaxDuel’s socials have promo clips with Andy Ruiz Jr. delivering knockouts and you can do the same (virtually, of course!) when you put your friends to the test. In this iteration of Player vs Player gaming, all other players are toast, except one.

The victor may not be undisputed, because you have a handy friends list on the platform, so you can make a challenge right away. If you decide to try MaxDuel, you could land up to $20 extra bucks from its welcome bonus.
