Ice Fishing is a game with multiple house edges and RTP rates. The advertised RTP rate at some social casinos is 97.10% (with a house edge of 2.9%), but that’s only true of the base game with Leaf bets. I found that RTP and edges differ depending on where you are in the game, like so:
- Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 have an RTP of 97.10%, and a house edge of 2.90%.
- The Lil’ Blues bonus has an RTP of 95.69%, and a house edge of 4.31%.
- The Big Oranges bonus has an RTP of 95.60%, and a house edge of 4.40%.
- The Huge Reds bonus has an RTP of 95.17%, and a house edge of 4.83%.
Comparatively, this is a higher base game RTP rate and lower volatility than you’d see in Crazy Time or Monopoly, upon which this game is closely based. Its lowest RTP rate is still 5% higher than the lowest in Dream Catcher, too. However, Ice Fishing also has a lower prize cap than its counterparts.
Those prizes depend on two things: what you’ve selected (and what the pointer lands on), and if any multipliers are randomly chosen.
- Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 always pay even money, and the maximum you can win (from a 10x multiplier) is 10x.
- The most you can win in Lil’ Blues is 1,000x, courtesy of a 10x multiplier, and between 3x and 100x without one.
- Big Oranges has a top prize of 2,000x if a 10x multiplier appears, and between 4x and 200x if not.
- Huge Reds can pay prizes worth 10x and 500x normally, and up to 5,000x if a 10x multiplier appears.
