Sweepstakes casino Coin Wizard Games has announced it will close on October 28, less than six months after launching.
The site sent out the email announcing the closure yesterday and it began:
“We are reaching out today to let you know that we will be closing Coin Wizard Games effective October 28, 2026.
We understand that this news may be disappointing and come as a surprise. Rest assured that the sister website of Coin Wizard Games, Golden Hearts Games, will continue to provide all of the same games and great experiences that Coin Wizard has provided, with 1200+ games from over twenty game content suppliers.”
Coin Wizard launched in May 2026, and at the time we gave it a positive review, scoring it 77.5/100. However, the sudden closure means it’s had a lifespan of only around five months.
No reason was given for the closure, although many sweeps operators are struggling to navigate an increasingly difficult regulatory environment and shrinking market. Coin Wizard Games is far from the first sweeps closure this year, as the industry continues to rebalance following a period of potential oversaturation.
Players Face Three Key Closure Dates
There are three dates to bear in mind, with the first (yesterday) already having passed:
- October 14: Coin Wizard Games players are already no longer able to purchase GC/SC bundles.
- October 21 (noon ET): SC gameplay ends.
- October 28 (noon ET): Final deadline to submit redemption requests as the website closes.
Most importantly, SC redemptions are available up until the site closure on October 28, and the email says “redemptions will be processed in an expedited manner.”
As always in these situations, we recommend players submit any SC redemption requests as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. It’s not clear whether redemptions submitted but not processed by the 28th will be honored, but it’s better to be safe than sorry and submit yours well in advance.
A New Casino That Didn’t Last Six Months
It is a shame that Coin Wizard is disappearing so soon after launching.
It offered 400+ games from providers including 3 Oaks, Booming Games, Playson and RubyPlay, alongside its own exclusive games. We also enjoyed the RevU Offerwall which allowed players to earn SC by completing tasks such as app downloads, registrations, and surveys.
Having its own original games and the pedigree of a long-standing sister site like Golden Hearts Games gave us hope that Coin Wizard could establish itself as a strong brand within the social casino space. However, this wasn’t to be, and it makes its closure after just a few months all the more disappointing.
Fortunately, Golden Hearts Games will remain open, and this is a mainstay of the scene which has been in existence since 2020.
To be honest, Golden Hearts is a better casino overall, with a more valuable signup bonus (250,000 GC + 2.5 SC) and over 1,000 games from a variety of great studios. Therefore, switching over to play there is far from a bad idea.
