A1 Sweepstakes Casino Review
A1-Casino showed up in 2025, quietly tossing its name into the sweepstakes ring. There’s no launch trail or backstory to latch onto, except that the brand is operated by a company called HGM Technologies Inc.
Over a decade spent reviewing online casinos, and just as many years playing on them, rarely have I come across a platform with a user experience this dysfunctional. The site is a mess in terms of usability and basic functionality. At one point, I hovered over the close tab button and seriously considered scrapping the entire review.
Despite the rocky intro, the game library pulled me back in. I counted 426 titles in total, and the range is no joke. Slots, RNG table games, fish games, crash games, scratchcards, and keno are all in the mix.
The bonus situation didn’t land nearly as well. New players receive 10 Gold Coins as a no purchase bonus. There’s also a three-part coin package, a rotating set of promos, and a VIP program. So the promo roster isn’t sparse, but don’t expect to be showered in coins without putting something in first.
What follows in this A1-Casino review is a breakdown of every pressure point I hit while using the site, along with a few standout positives worth noting.
Pros
- Excellent range of games
- 34 live dealer games
- Fantastic selection of scratchcards
- Decent perks in the VIP program
- Three purchase bonuses
Cons
- Dreadful UX
- No SC in the no deposit bonus
- Daily bonus locked behind a purchase
After registering and finding just 10 GC in my account, I thought it was a prank. There had to be something else waiting. But no, that’s just how they roll. They don’t give out free SC for new users.
On the flip side, the game library features one of the best-curated non-slot selections I’ve come across. The delta between how underwhelming A1-Casino is in areas like bonuses and usability, and how strong it is in game depth and genre coverage, is almost hard to believe.
Legal States
A1-Casino is available in every U.S. state except Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, and Washington.
That’s a broad reach considering how many competitors have started pulling out of large swaths of the map under growing legal pressure around sweepstakes models. Many platforms, for example, don’t support players in New York. A1-Casino does.
How A1-Casino Works
If you’ve spent any time on sweepstakes casinos, A1-Casino won’t throw you any curveballs. The platform uses the same coin labels and the same basic structure seen across most competitors.
For those just stepping in, here’s how it works.
Instead of real cash wagers, sweepstakes casinos like A1 run on a fake-currency system built around virtual coins.
There are two types of coins in play.
Gold Coins carry no monetary value. They’re designed for casual play and function like demo credits. You can use them to explore the games, spin freely, and test the platform without any financial commitment.
Sweeps Coins, on the other hand, are the ones to watch. These can be redeemed for real-world prizes after being played through once.
A1-Casino includes a toggle on the left-hand navigation bar that lets you switch between Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins at any time.
A1-Casino Bonuses
A1-Casino opens with one of the most underwhelming welcome offers in the space. After registering, you’re given just 10 Gold Coins, and that’s it.
The follow-up offers do a bit of damage control, though.
There are three coin purchase bonuses on the table. The first is a 2-for-1 deal, essentially a 200% boost. Deposit $10 and you’ll receive $20 worth of SC. The second and third offers come with 150% boosts.
Players can also claim 5 Sweeps Coins through a mail-in promotion, assuming they follow the guidelines outlined in the platform’s sweepstakes rules page. It’s a process-heavy method, but technically an option for no-purchase play.
A1-Casino promotes daily and weekly bonuses as well, though all of them are locked behind prior purchases. There’s no indication of recurring freebies for non-paying users.
There’s also a referral bonus in place, though details are scarce. All it says is that your referred friend has to register using your link and make a deposit.
The VIP program rounds out the incentive system, but again, it’s vague. There’s no information on tier levels or what kind of benefits come with climbing the ranks.

There are virtually no opportunities to win free coins as a standard user at A1-Casino, aside from the mail-in bonus, and that one takes a couple of weeks to process.
They do have social media channels, but these are mainly used for announcements, like when a new game gets added or they’re pushing a promo. Occasionally, they’ll run a giveaway in the form of a “guess what’s in the picture” quiz, but those are few and far between.

A1 Casino-Style Games
If A1-Casino finds a way to win players over, it will do so through its game selection. This is one of the few sweepstakes apps where non-slot titles outnumber the slots. The library includes more than 220 table and specialty games. If you’re not a big fan of slots or just want to take a breather from the reels, the range here delivers.
A1-Casino works with 14 different game providers. Among them, Hacksaw Gaming brings the highest level of technical quality and brand recognition.

A1-Casino is 14-provider deep, which is okay. But if you stack those studios by pedigree, only Hacksaw Gaming and 3 Oaks feel like notable names. There’s no NetEnt or Pragmatic Play, but that doesn’t take away from the experience. The variety of game types more than makes up for the lack of big-brand flash.
The library features filters for provider and volatility, as well as a search bar to help narrow down the results. So on paper, finding what you want should be easy. But for every good feature, there’s something that drags the experience down. Case in point: when you enter a game category and change your mind, you can’t just toggle out. You have to go back all the way to the main lobby.
There are also no game descriptions, which means you’re going in blind unless you already know the title.
Still, I’ve got to give credit where it’s due. The game variety is next-level. They offer pretty much every category imaginable, so if you’re interested in specialty games, you’re in for a serious treat.
Out of the 196 available slots, seven run on the Megaways engine. There’s no dedicated section for them, but they’re in the mix, including Aladdin’s Treasure Megaways and Buddha Megaways.
The Hold & Win category is well-represented too. Rush for Diamonds and Ramses Blitz were two that I enjoyed the most from that category.
I turned on the high volatility filter to see which games had the biggest payout potential, and a surprising number of titles came up. One of them was Chaos Crew by Hacksaw Gaming, a punk-themed favorite of mine that offers a max win of 10,000x.
With no Relax Gaming or NetEnt in the mix, Tumbling Reels options are limited. Still, there’s a decent showing of “Book of” variations, including Book of Time, Book of Wealth, and Book of Sun.
A1-Casino features 9 RNG roulette titles and 8 RNG blackjack games. Most of the blackjack options are multi-hand variants, allowing players to run multiple hands at once from a single table.
Their digital roulette lineup includes a few offbeat picks like Philosopher’s Roulette. They also offer French Roulette, which is known for having the lowest theoretical house edge of all the standard variants.
To access the full live dealer lobby at A1-Casino, you’ll need to be logged in. The horizontal lounge view only loads for signed-in users, which is where you’ll find all 34 tables, including the live social games powered by Eurasian Gaming.
That said, most live dealer categories are still visible and accessible through the left-hand menu, even if you’re browsing as a guest. That includes live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Hold’em, and even dice games.
A1-Casino houses 18 fish tables from KA Gaming, so there’s plenty to pick from if you’re into arcade-style ocean shooters. The gameplay revolves around targeting sea creatures with your cursor before they swim out of range. I ran into a few familiar names in the genre, like Fishing Tycoon and KA Fish Party.
A1 is arguably the best sweepstakes casino for scratchcard games based on volume alone. They stock 134 scratchers and seem to have picked up most of Hacksaw Gaming’s scratchcard catalog.
Here are a few options you’ll find on tap:
- Cash Vault 2
- Break the Ice
- Prince Treasure
- Balloons
- Tiger Scratch
Crash games have a dedicated section at A1, but a lot of the games are scattered across the site. There are 15 titles in the Crash Games compartment, while others are spread out over categories like Heads & Tails, Shooting, Mine, Ladders, Wheels, and Plinko.
The A1-Casino game lineup is rounded out with a handful of extras, including five poker games, two bingo options, and three keno titles. On the poker side, there’s one casino-style variant, 3-Card Poker, along with four video poker games:
- Super Video Poker
- Lucky Video Poker
- Bonus Poker
- Aces & Eights

A1-Casino Banking
While purchases at A1-Casino are technically optional, you’ll need to buy in if you want access to the daily bonus, and the minimum is set at $10. There aren’t many ongoing promos either, so in practice, the mail-in bonus becomes the only real way to get free coins without spending anything. And even that takes a while to process.
The casino supports a range of payment methods, including Cash App Card, Chime Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, and both credit and debit cards.
To cash out, you’ll need at least 100 SC in your balance.

Each SC holds a $1 value at the point of redemption. It’s also worth noting that the maximum you can redeem in a single request is $1,000. If you try to redeem more than that in one go, any excess SC will be forfeited.
Additionally, if you’re playing from Florida or New York, rewards are capped at $5,000, and that’s the most you’ll be able to redeem within the state.

Is A1-Casino Legit?
It’s tough to get a full read on platforms like A1-Casino. There just isn’t much to work with when it comes to evaluating long-term credibility.
Sure, the site clearly states that it’s operated by HGM Technologies Inc., but digging into that company doesn’t reveal much. I ran a background check and came up empty. No records in major business registries, no track record to speak of, and nothing public-facing beyond a name.
That said, I was somewhat reassured by their open presence on social media. In this space, bad actors usually keep things quiet. They don’t post, don’t engage, and certainly don’t invite visibility. A1 is taking the opposite approach, so it looks like they’re not trying to operate in the shadows.
On the technical side, they’ve done their homework. The site utilizes Amazon’s 2048-bit RSA encryption, a standard for secure financial data protection. I didn’t notice any red flags with page behavior, account handling, or purchase flow. Everything felt clean on the backend.

A1-Casino has a fully built-out responsible gaming section. They offer guidance on how to keep play under control, along with direct access to resources that can help players stay grounded.
There are built-in tools for self-management, including deposit limits and full self-exclusion. You can opt out for six months, a whole year, or permanently. The self-exclusion process runs through customer support.
A1-Casino also provides access to the GamCare Self-Assessment test. It’s a short but effective tool for spotting early signs of risky behavior. On top of that, there are direct links to organizations like GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous for players who need professional-level support.

A1-Casino UX
User experience is where A1-Casino disappoints the most. The site is compatible with both desktop and mobile browsers, and although the interface remains consistent across the two, the same core issues persist.
The dark green color palette feels overwhelming, but that’s honestly the least of the problems. On the surface, the site looks familiar. There’s a sidebar on the left for navigation, horizontal game categories across the top, and a grid-based lobby layout.
But the longer I used it, the more cracks began to show.

How It Stacks Up
A1-Casino matches up with the competition in several areas and even outperforms some bigger names in a few key spots. The total number of games is on the low side, but the variety is top-tier. Every major game type is covered. That includes slots, table games, crash titles, fish games, live dealer tables, and scratchcards. A lot of high-profile sites can’t say the same.
McLuck skips fish games, Fortune Coins leaves out live dealers, and PlayFame doesn’t offer scratchers. A1 includes them all.
When it comes to banking, it lands in the middle of the pack. The 100 Sweeps Coin redemption minimum is fairly standard. You’ll see the same limit on platforms like Crown Coins. Still, there are sites like Hello Millions where the minimum is just 10 SC.
Bonuses are the weakest link. Most sweepstakes casinos offer something at signup, whether it’s free SC, a daily bonus, or both. High 5 gives 5 SC right away and 0.5 SC every day. A1 offers neither. That said, they do offer one of the largest mail-in bonuses I’ve come across. Only Pulsz is in the same ballpark.
Our Experts Verdict
My recommendation for A1-Casino depends entirely on what you’re looking for in a sweepstakes casino.
If bonuses are a big part of your decision-making process, you’ll probably want to skip this one. There’s almost nothing to work with in terms of free Sweeps Coins. No signup boost, no daily freebies unless you make a purchase, and not much else to soften the entry point.
On the flipside, if game variety is your main priority, A1-Casino delivers. You get a full spread of categories, and there are plenty of options for players beyond just slot fans. From table games and scratchers to live dealers and fish games, the catalog is loaded with options.
That said, the user experience is rough. I wouldn’t judge anyone for bouncing after twenty minutes. The layout is messy, the navigation is restrictive, and trying to multitask in multiple tabs is a dead end. But if you can power through the clunky layout and awkward navigation, there’s enough depth in the game catalog to make it worthwhile.
