Rebet Review

Rebet is a brand-new social sportsbook that re-invents sports betting with a well-polished iOS and Android app and extensive sports market coverage. I was browsing my LinkedIn feed when I caught wind of its launch; upon reading the full PR release, I discovered it was founded by four Dartmouth College students.

I initially had my doubts about the competency of college kids running a sportsbook, so I went to test the app and see if it could bring anything fresh to the table. It does bring a sign up bonus of 100 Rebet Coins + 1 Rebet Cash, but I was way more excited about its new betting features that focus more on the social aspect.

In this review, you’ll find my unbiased and critical assessment of Rebet, so let’s start from the top.

Legal States

This social sportsbook is legal and available in 45 out of 50 US states. According to the app’s terms and conditions, territories deemed “restricted” include Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Idaho, and, surprisingly enough, Nevada, the state where Rebet Inc. is incorporated.

All users from supported states need to be at least 18+ years old to register and play for sweeps prizes, which are available via playthrough of the sportsbook’s branded “Rebet Cash” currency.

How Rebet Social Sportsbook Works

As a social sportsbook with a focus on casual gameplay, Rebet is a bit different from your average sports betting site. Real money purchases aren’t necessary, as the app will provide you with some free credits each day.

Players can place wagers on various real-life sports events, only instead of betting actual money, they’ll be using digital currencies unique to this application – Rebet Coins and Rebet Cash, so let me brief you on how they work.

• Rebet Coins are the equivalent of Gold Coins you’d be using in social casinos. They hold no monetary value and can’t be used in any way outside of the Rebet website. These virtual coins allow you to “test” your bets without risking real cash. In other words, you can bet on real sports events with Rebet Coins, only there’d be no financial gain involved.
• Rebet Cash is Rebet’s sweepstakes currency. It is pegged to USD at a rate of 1:1, and by meeting the bonus rules, you’ll be able to redeem these credits for real money prizes. As I said, the main mode of acquiring Rebet Cash for free is by logging into your account at least once a day, but there are several other ways which I’ll discuss extensively in the following section.

The main condition that must be met before you can request a cash prize redemption is accumulating at least 20 redeemable Rebet Cash. RCs become “redeemable” through gameplay – they’re treated as bonus funds until you wager all your Rebet Cash at least once.

Rebet Bonuses

I began testing Rebet almost as soon as it launched, and so far, their promotional offerings have been consistent and relatively humble. As soon as you join, you’ll be able to grab 100 Rebet Coins and 1 free Rebet Cash.

There’s also a $100 First Purchase Deposit Match, meaning you will get 200 Rebet Cash for $100, but players frequently report that this deal is not always available.

There are a few more ways than you can obtain free Rebet Cash, which I’ll explain below.

Bonuses Review

I wasn’t too surprised that there are not many regular promos for registered users. For now, these are the bonuses you can expect at this social sportsbook:

• Daily login bonus: By simply logging into your account, you’ll receive 100 Rebet Coins and 1 Rebet Cash each day. However, this is not automatically added to your balance. Instead, you need to go to the profile tab and tap “Rebet Cash”. You’ll find 1 Rebet dollar there.
• Alternative Method of Entry: Send a handwritten postcard to Rebet Inc. to get 3 free Rebet Cash. This can be done a total of 10 times, totaling $30 in free Rebet Cash.
• Refills: Once every 24 hours, if your Rebet Cash balance is precisely zero, you’ll be eligible to receive 1 Rebet Cash credit.

The platform is still very new, and they’ve done a good job of ensuring that real-money purchases aren’t necessary with the two promotions currently running.

I should also mention that a VIP program has been revealed, although Rebet is very vague about which perks we’ll be able to enjoy as we climb the ladder. It features six levels, where all players will begin at Bronze, while the last tier is Platinum.

No amount of free cash would persuade me to stick with a sportsbook if it doesn’t cover my favorite sports. Luckily, Rebet covers over 60+ professional & student sports events, including the major categories like basketball, baseball, football, soccer, golf, and many others. You will find over 3,000 betting markets.

When it comes to odds, Rebet is comparable to established social sportsbooks but falls behind real-money betting sites. As for betting options, you won’t find too many props or futures, but the classic 3-way betting is present in virtually all markets. However, this makes Rebet a great option for newbies, as it offers simplified betting lines.

On the upside, Rebet introduces new features that aren’t available anywhere else, and they put emphasis on social betting. You can place the same bet as your friend (re-bet) or create peer-to-peer pools and compete with your friends with no additional fees. Peer-to-peer gaming allows you to challenge your friends on props, spread, or any wager really. Even more interesting is that the lines aren’t decided by the house, but you get to dictate the rules.

Rebet Banking

Rebet allows you to purchase through debit and credit cards and Apple Pay. But as I mentioned, you won’t have to put your own money on the line while playing at Rebet. Daily login and AMOE bonuses are there to keep your balance in the black, and if you ever happen to have precisely 0 Rebet Cash in your account, you’ll get 1 RC on the house.

To meet national sweepstakes regulations, Rebet will never sell you Rebet Cash, but you will be granted some for free when purchasing Rebet Coins. These “gifted” RCs must be played through once before you can request a cash prize since they’re considered bonus money.

Payment Options Review

The banking section at Rebet is limited to purchases to Visa, Mastercard, and Apple Pay. The minimum purchase starts at $4.99, which is decent.

However, players have reported glitches when purchasing, with the app showing them only Apple Pay as an available option, even when they are playing from the Android app.

On the other hand, you can redeem a minimum of 20 RC and a maximum of 1,000 RC daily. Speaking of redemptions, you can request a prize via Bank Transfer only. It can take anywhere between 24 to 72 hours before you get your winnings. Note that every transfer has a $0.75 fee.

Is Rebet App Legit?

Our commitment to objectively analyzing and verifying the legitimacy and legality of online sportsbooks stems from objectivity. SweepsKings will never dismiss a site simply because it’s new, but in our experience, fresh platforms could go one of two ways – they’re either scam apps or legit platforms with no track record.

With Rebet, the latter is the case. The app is operated by New Hampshire college students who founded a company from scratch. I’ve extensively researched every press release mentioning Rebet Inc., but the name appeared online for the first time in February 2024.

I then researched its key people: Hubbard (CEO), DiGiovanni (CMO), Tassiello (COO), and Onyango (CTO). Their LinkedIn profiles seem credible, with hundreds of business contacts each. Transparency-wise, Rebet’s terms, conditions, and policies actually favor the player while adhering to common US sports betting laws and regulations.

I joined Rebet when it was in its Beta phase, and even though the app was polished from the get-go, I still needed some assistance on multiple occasions.

Their customer support team replied to my first few emails within hours, and then I noticed that a live chatbot was also available. This function worked as intended whenever I used it, albeit the usefulness of the answers plummeted the more specific my questions became.

In my 7+ years of experience in testing online sportsbooks, I always felt that ticketing systems most sportsbooks use are the “last straws” you can hold onto because such support channels are considerably slower than alternatives. That was not the case with Rebet, which I presumed to be true because their player base is still fairly small.

There’s also a FAQ on the site, but it’s rather basic and doesn’t cover most stuff.

Most sportsbooks I’m a member of started as betting sites that later launched mobile apps. What separates Rebet from others is that it’s an app-exclusive sports betting platform without support for PC devices. This can change over time, though.

As things stand, Rebet’s app UI is stunningly beautiful and yet surprisingly simple. Basic shortcuts foster intuitive compartmentalization, meaning that you won’t have to chase sports categories and markets endlessly on a small screen. The black & orange colors are also easy on the eyes and feel like a breath of fresh air amid the sea of green, blue, and white-background alternatives.

There’s only a handful of social sportsbooks in the US, and none of them are affiliated with Rebet. In fact, its owners have entered the industry with this app; in my research, I couldn’t find any projects or collaborations in the online sports gaming space that they’ve been a part of.

Rebet is still a work in progress, so you may want to try more established platforms before settling on this app. Our team at SweepsKings has compiled a shortlist of legitimate alternatives, so let’s take a quick look at reputable sports betting sites you might be interested in.

How It Stacks Up

The only social sports betting apps (which are also app-exclusive) that Rebet is comparable to are Thrillzz and Fliff. As its CEO said, Rebet was built because no progress has been made in social sports betting for years. All three apps are great in their own right but vastly different specs-wise. If we were to compare Rebet vs Fliff, we’d see that Fliff has laser-focused sports coverage and apps for both OS. Sportzino should also be in your radar, it is the only social sportsbook and casino with prizes. Another similar alternative is SportsMillions, which is another social casino sportsbook that’s worth checking out.

Since we at SweepsKings strive to ensure our players are aware of as many options as possible, our recommendations also include the leading real-money online sportsbooks, all of which boast enviable track records, extensive sports market coverage, and hefty bonuses.

Compared to them, Rebet falls short of magical in virtually all respects. Not only does it offer a smaller selection of promos, but it also doesn’t cover as many sports events.

There’s one huge “however” here. The main issue with real money sports betting sites is that they’re available in a handful of US states, while Rebet is accessible to players from 45 out of 50.

Overall, Rebet just launched, so it’s still too early to compare it to sites and apps that have been around for years or decades.

Our Experts Verdict

Under normal circumstances, the team at SweepsKings wouldn’t publish a review of a sportsbook before pouring at least 12+ months into research and testing. We’ve made an exception for Rebet because we don’t get new social sports betting apps every day.

In terms of sports market coverage, Rebet performed well in our tests, but it still looks pale in comparison to popular alternatives. We love the focus on national sports but would like to see at least a few international markets alongside an expanded selection of proposition bets.

Not much can be said about its current bonuses since there are only a few – daily logins and AMOE promotions. Rebet offers are solid, and the same can be said about the daily 1 RC for players who completely run out of sweeps currency. It’s a shame there aren’t many regular promos for account holders yet.

As for its strongest points, I’d have to single out the 20 Rebet Cash minimum redemptions. It beats Fliff by a mile in this field (the latter imposes a 50 FC minimum) and allows you to cash in real money prizes with relative ease.

All things considered, I can conclude that Rebet is a legit sweeps sportsbook app that has great potential.
