SportsMillions Review

SportsMillions Homepage

SportsMillions is a unique platform that combines Daily Fantasy Sports with sweepstakes casino-style gaming and sports betting. When I say unique, I mean it’s the only platform that offers this combination, as no other DFS site has the sweepstakes gaming option.

The DFS contest mode, Pick’em, was added recently and involves real-money wagering on sports predictions in the five major leagues, college football and basketball, and more, with payouts of up to 1,500x the wager if you guess 12 picks correctly. It’s super simple to play it, and it’s currently available across almost half of the country. The minimum entry is $10, with SportsMillions providing you with an extra $10 as a bonus after you make your first deposit.

SportsMillions is the most interesting and innovative platform I’ve come across in some time, so I invite you to check out my detailed review and find out how it works, the promotions, money withdrawals, and more.

Pros

  • Combines DFS with sweepstakes gaming
  • Minimum withdrawal of just $10
  • Very easy to understand and play
  • Covers all major leagues and college sports
  • Great welcome promotion
  • Even better Refer-a-friend bonus
  • Solid rating on app store

Cons

  • Not as widely available as sweepstakes sportsbooks or popular DFS platforms
  • The maximum multiplier is not always 1,500x
  • Other DFS sites have better sports coverage
  • Limited deposit and withdrawal options
Editor’s Note

SportsMillions is not the only social betting and casino site, but it’s the only DFS site that offers sweepstakes gaming. The Pick’em contest isn’t even a traditional DFS, nor sports betting, so it’s safe to say that SportsMillions is carving its own niche. The minimum deposit and withdrawal threshold is low and the bonuses are fair, so it’s definitely worth a try.

How SportsMillions Works

SportsMillions Play Mode

SportsMillions’s Pick’em contest works as a combination of DFS and sports betting. You get to pick whether star players from the major leagues will score more or fewer points than the set number by the operator. Unlike sweepstakes sites, Pick’em is played with US dollars, with a minimum deposit of $10. You need to combine at least 2 and up to 12 picks, and you need to hit all of them to win the biggest prize. Sometimes, there’s an option to get one pick wrong in Flex Play.

The other two contests at SportsMillions, Blitz’em and the social casino, are played as standard sweepstakes with two virtual currencies, Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Purchases of GC and redemptions of SC apply on these two settings, per the standard sweepstakes rules.

SportsMillions Bonuses

There are different bonuses for all modes.

For Pick’em, the welcome bonus is $10 extra after you make a deposit. Due to the unique way Pick’em works, SportsMillions doesn’t offer a no deposit bonus for this contest.

For the 2nd deposit, you get $10 for $10, and for the 3rd deposit, if you deposit $10 you get a $5 free pick.

The Refer-a-friend bonus is noteworthy, as it can net you $60 for Pick’em. Players looking for a free bonus can turn to Blitz’em or Spin’em, and start off with 1,000 GC + 2.5 SC instantly and 150% on the first purchase.

On the promotional page, you can filter the bonuses that are available based on the mode you choose to play. The welcome bonus for all modes comes with a perk – live chat access. I’ll explain the details of all the SportsMillions Pick’em bonuses below.

Welcome Bonus – The Pick’em welcome bonus will net you $10 in your account after you make your first deposit – regardless of the deposit size. Since the minimum deposit amount is $10, you can see it as a 100% match. You get $10 for $10 for the 2nd deposit as well, and $5 for $10 for the 3rd deposit.

SportsMillions Bonus

Daily Boost – The Pick’em daily boost gives you a 20% boost of up to $20 if you play $20 or more on any picks. It’s available once a day for three days, so you need to play $100 or more to get the maximum value.

Refer a Friend – You can refer a friend by sending them a unique invite link, and once they deposit at least $40 for Pick’em, you get $10. If they make additional deposits of $500 or more, you get $50 as bonus money.

SportsMillions Gaming Options

SportsMillions Betting

The SportsMillions Pick’em contest is not exactly a typical DFS contest. In traditional DFS, you compete against other players by creating a lineup of athletes within a salary cap, and your team earns points based on real-life performances. You win by outperforming other users’ lineups in the contest.

Out of the three modes, Pick’em is the newest and the most popular one at SportsMillions. But, while it’s marketed as DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports), the SportsMillions Pick’em contest is a game of skill where you need to predict how will star players in the major leagues do in the next game. You pick (hence the name) your players, and choose whether they’ll do better or worse than the set numbers.

The other two modes, Blitz’em and the social casino, are played as sweepstakes. Blitz’em is a social sports prediction type of contest where the prize is determined by a wheel of luck, while the social casino operates much like most sweepstakes sites. It has over 1,000 casino-style games, predominantly slots, powered by 10+ top providers. To unlock all the games, though, users need to purchase a bundle first.

The Pick’em mode is available the moment you register and verify your email, but it’s necessary to make at least a minimum qualifying deposit of $10. The two other modes don’t require a purchase, which means you can play them for free. There’s a decent selection of software providers for the slot library, with names like Pragmatic Play and Novomatic and plenty of different themes, live dealer games, and payout engines.

Pick’em - Daily Fantasy Sports Contests

Unlike traditional DFS where you compete against other players by creating a lineup of athletes within a salary cup and your team needs to outperform other players’ teams to win a prize, Pick’em is nothing like it.

In SportsMillions’ Pick’em contest, you make predictions on specific outcomes on player stats or game results. At the moment, you can make predictions on player stats in the five big leagues: NFL, MLS, NBA, NHL, and MLB, the English Premier League, as well as the two most popular collegiate sports leagues, NCAAB and NCAAF.

While this mode shares some elements with DFS, like analyzing player stats and making strategic picks, it doesn’t involve competing head-to-head with a team you create. If you’ve ever placed an Over/Under bet at any real money (or social) sportsbook, Pick’em is very similar to this bet type.

You’re presented with the leagues, and when you click on one, you’ll see the upcoming games for the day. Click on a game, and you’ll be presented with the star players in the form of a card (usually with a photo of the player).

SportsMillions Pick'em

Let’s take a game between the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA as an example. The first player that’s presented is Stephen Curry. The available options are Points, Assists, and a combination of points, rebounds, and assists. So, if I think that Curry will be cooking tonight, I can predict that he’ll score higher than 23.5 points. That’s one selection.

Now, I need to add at least one more pick and a maximum of 12 total picks for my prediction. Let’s say that I think this won’t be Jimmy Butler’s night, so I predict he’ll score less than 31.5 points, rebounds, and assists combined.

SportsMillions Pick'em Example

With the two picks, the potential payout is around 3x my wager. The more picks you make, the payout increases exponentially. Let’s say I want to risk it and add another pick – that Triston Casas for the Boston Red Sox won’t make a hit in the upcoming game against the Texas Rangers. My potential payout increased to 5.76x my wager.

The maximum number of picks is 12, with the maximum potential payout being 1,500x the wager. Note that the payout is not fixed, as some predictions are seen as more favorable than others, but the differences are so narrow that I wouldn’t bother about it. An important thing to point out is that you can only make one prediction per player.

Blitz’em - Social Predictions

Blitz’em is a fun, lottery-style sports prediction where you’re not required to make your picks. You don’t even choose your picks – it’s all drawn randomly. This is how it works:

First, you buy a ticket. The cost of the tickets depends on the Blitz’em you’ve chosen, but they usually start at 200 GC for standard play and 0.20 SC for promotional play. Then, you spin the wheel and draw the prize.

For my first ticket, I drew a prize of 30 SC. The highest multiplier on the Wheel of Luck was 1 million SC, but I drew the lowest reward. Then, you need to draw the legs. Since I chose the NBA, all my Blitz’em draws were for the NBA. This is what I got:

SportsMillions Blitz'em

So, to win my ticket, all of these legs have to be successful. For example, the GSW need to have less than 19.5 steals, Draymond Green needs to have more than 6.5 rebounds, the Spurs need to score more than 116.5 points, etc. If a player doesn’t participate in the game, the prize is reduced by 50%.

SportsMillions have been steadily increasing the list of available sports; so far it includes the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, PGA, and EPL.

Spin’em - Casino-Style Games

The social casino at SportsMillions, called Spin’em, includes over 1,000 casino-style games. When you make a first purchase, you get access to around a dozen exclusive slots. A few of the standout features in the casino games department are:

  • Exclusive sports slots with soccer, basketball, hockey, and fishing themes.
  • Cascading Wins games, where each winning spin can result in subsequent wins.
  • Exclusive Gold Coin games are unlocked by purchasing a Gold Coin package.
  • Social live casino with 10+ games like roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and more.
  • Four slots with unlimited play.
  • Jackpots, 18 of them, featuring four prize tiers for Sweeps Coins or Gold Coins.

The menu has 12 tabs with different slots categories according to style or payout mechanic. You can also play live dealer games and game shows from the Playtech and ICONIC21 studios.

SportsMillions Banking

SportsMillions Deposit

The banking section at SportsMillions has two parts: Pick’em balance and Social balance. The Pick’em mode works in USD, and the minimum deposit amount is $10. The options you can rely on to transact here are the good old Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, as well as mobile payment services like Apple Pay and Google Pay that are connected to your card.

The minimum withdrawal is $10 for Pick’em, whether through an online gift card or cash. For sweepstakes prize redemptions, you need to have at least 75 Sweeps Coins for cash redemption, or 10 Sweeps Coins for gift card redemption.

The two wallets are located on the top left part of the screen on the main page, where you can click on the + button to make a deposit (or purchase a GC package), and the arrow down to request a withdrawal. Admittedly, the list of available payment methods is short and it would be nice if users could use e-wallets, but at least the minimum withdrawal amount is low at $10.

The T&C page at SportsMillions claims that withdrawals and cash prize redemptions may take up to 10 days, so electronic gift cards are the quicker option. The playthrough is 1x for all the money you have deposited to your account or have obtained as bonus money.

Is SportsMillions Legit?

The company operating this platform, Special M Limited, is a subsidiary of a well-known operator in the sweepstakes casino field: B2Services OÜ. SportsMillions has a business address and is legally registered in Gibraltar, and it complies with all the US sweepstakes rules.

B2Services OÜ is an Estonian-based company that operates several proven sweepstakes brands and enjoys a good reputation.

Players who exercise greater caution against non-legit operators need to take one look at the SportsMillions website footer. There the company provides links to its privacy policy, terms of play, sweepstakes rules, contact details, secure web protocols, and more.

Another key point is the game providers. I didn’t find a single studio that isn’t established on the market or has a bad standing in the industry. All of the providers at SportsMillions are tested by independent auditors. The site has never had any reported problems with payouts and KYC checks are mandatory for withdrawals.

SportsMillions Customer Support

SportsMillions Support

The first downside regarding the customer support service at SportsMillions is that the live chat isn’t available unless you deposit money or purchase a Gold Coins package. That’s a real shame because otherwise, the customer support service is excellent. There’s a help center, email support, phone support, and social media messaging.

I tried all of the available ways to get in touch except by telephone. The latter option is for payment inquiries, which I didn’t have. The help center (which works as an FAQ page) is enough for 95% of the problems. But, if some issues arise, I suggest using the email support or live chat.

All of SportsMillions’ social media profiles can take questions via their respective messaging. However, note that this option is limited because the social media help desk is not allowed to discuss your account or personal details.

SportsMillions UX

SportsMillions iOS App

My first impression with the SportsMillions website was noticing the well-structured menu and the sufficient number of categories. Once I started exploring nooks and crannies I realized that there’s more to it than just the three modes.

For example, you’ll find plenty of news and updates on US sports. Or you can visit the How to Play tab to understand the Pick’em and Blitz’em sports predictions.

There’s also an SM Pick’em Fantasy Sports iOS app at the App Store for the Pick’em contests with a rating of 4.5 stars. You can use the app to deposit money to your account, make predictions, and request withdrawals. If you’re an Android user or prefer using the browser version, you can use the SportsMillions website which is fully optimized for mobile as well.

How It Stacks Up

SportsMillions doesn’t have a direct competitor at the moment. It operates as a hybrid of DFS (that’s not even a traditional DFS) and sweepstakes casino-style gaming, plus adds a unique Blitz’em contest that’s a combination of a lottery and sports. So, it’s safe to say that it offers a better overall experience compared to its sister sites and the competition.

The bonus terms are fair, the gameplay is fun regardless of which mode you choose, and SportsMillions scores highly in all measurable areas. For a more in-depth look into each associated platform, click on the links I’ve placed on the table.

Our Experts Verdict

SweepsKings Approved

SportsMillions has a lot going for it. Pick’em is a well-thought-out DFS contest that takes the most casual side of sports betting and doesn’t require any previous knowledge. It’s great for any sports fan that just wants to predict how their favorite players will do in the upcoming games. Still, it maintains the required element of skill you need for sports betting, as you do need to do research and trust your gut feeling about whether the player will do good in the match or not.

I had genuine fun with Pick’em, and with a low minimum deposit of just $10 and a fair welcome bonus that adds another $10 with just a 1x playthrough requirement, it’s well worth a try. The minimum withdrawal is also set at $10, so you can cash out your winnings at any moment.

The sweepstakes contests, Blitz’em and the social casino are also excellent, and you can play for cash prizes with Sweeps Coins in promotional mode.

I’ve been playing at SportsMillions since it launched and so far, the operator has expanded the list of sports from just the top 3 leagues to nearly 10 sports, so I have no doubt it will keep adding popular sports. I would like to see picks for Formula 1 and tennis, but hey, this is just nitpicking. On a more serious note, I hope SportsMillions can expand the list of permitted states for Pick’em, as I believe it will be a massive hit everywhere in the US.
