How Vegas Gems Works
The sweeps site calls its free-play currency “Shards” and its redeemable currency “Gems”.

I’d like to see classic blackjack added to the mix but you still get to enjoy Pontoon and Pirate 21. Taking an even deeper dive, Sic Bo is available, with Belatra’s variant boasting a 97.22% RTP, and so is American Baccarat with an even stronger 98.94% payout rate. No live dealer games, though, just virtual versions of the classics mentioned and then some more.
I know that it’s just one game but it’s a Vegas Gems in-house exclusive with a dedicated section in the main menu, so I figured to highlight the Original Scratchcard here as well.
It’s very easy to play like all scratch games, of course, and is also provably fair. Again, that means you can verify the fairness of every outcome manually.
You draw between one and three cards for 100,000 Shards per draw and virtually scratch the cards to see if you won anything. Vegas Gems hosts a lot of games. The slots are solid, and there are plenty of them even though Pragmatic Play left the platform in early 2025. The number of table game variants is above average, but I still want to see live games.

The $9.99 package offers good value because you get 100,000 Shards. We find it a bit odd that the number of Shards doesn’t rise proportionally from this package.
It’s unusual that buying that $9.99 pack ten times gets you 1,000,000 Shards for $100, while buying a single $999.99 pack gets you the same amount. That’s zero incentive to purchase high-roller packs, and the first purchase discounts are also catered to casual players.

The Vegas Gems UX has this darker purple vibe. Some say it’s a bit eye-straining but I like the darker style, it feels elegant.
