No game brings as much excitement as craps. However, while craps has always been one of the most popular games at brick-and-mortar casinos, at sweepstakes casinos, it’s always been something of a rarity.

It can be tricky to find craps at sweepstakes casinos. That’s why below, we’ll cover our three favorite sites for playing sweepstakes craps online.
Wandando
Launched in 2025, Wandando is my pick for the best sweepstakes casinos for craps. That’s because while it may only offer two craps titles, these are the very best craps games that you can play online.
Produced by Evolution, Live Craps and First Person Craps are the gold standard for craps games. And while most craps sweepstakes casinos will only offer a maximum of one of these games, Wandando allows you to play both. If you want the comfort of playing at your own pace, First Person Craps gives you exactly that. Meanwhile, if you’re after that live casino feel, no other craps game will offer you that experience quite like Evolution’s Live Craps.
Sign up via our links, and you can play either of these games for free with a no deposit bonus of 5,000 GC + 0.10 SC + 10 Free Spins. And if that’s not enough, don’t sweat it. Because new users can also boost their balance with 28,000 GC + 30 SC for just $19.99.
Scarlet Sands
With over 2,000 games available for play in their gaming library, Scarlet Sands is one of those sites that really does have something for everyone. And this includes craps.
In fact, once you register with Scarlet Sands, you’ll have access to three different craps variants developed by both Evolution as well as ICONIC21. What I really like about these games is that they suit players of all skill levels.
Bubble Crapless Craps simplifies the rules. First Person Craps gives you unlimited time to make a decision. And Bubble Craps is your quick-fire craps game that requires you to know what you’re doing to keep up with the pace of the game.
WOW Vegas
Since launching in 2022, WOW Vegas has been one of the most popular sweepstakes casinos in the US. They have over 1,800 high-quality games (including craps), great bonuses, and they offer low minimum redemptions – which is something I really like. As such, they’re always going to be a sweepstakes casino worth considering.
Now, to start with the obvious, with just one craps game in Bubble Crapless Craps, WOW Vegas will not be the sweepstakes casino for players who only want to play craps and nothing else. However, I don’t think that should be a deal breaker. And for users who just want an all-around great sweepstakes casino that includes a craps option, you really will not find a better site. Plus, with a welcome bonus of 250,000 WOW Coins + 5 SC, this is one of those sites that is definitely worth giving a go.
Best Sweepstakes Craps Games
Craps isn’t a game with a lot of variants. However, at sweepstakes casinos, there are a couple of different types that you’ll find. And while these variations mainly center around creating different atmospheres, they do have subtle differences and are suited for different types of players.
Below, we’ll be looking at the main four craps variants that you can find at sweepstakes casinos, how they differ, and who they’re suited for.
Classic Craps
Unique features: Single-player gameplay, no timers.
Who it’s suited for: All players, particularly those who want to take their time and play without distraction.
First up, it’s classic craps. While we’ll cover a simpler variant of craps further down, in my opinion, this is the game you want to start with. And the reason for that is simple. It’s low pressure.
This type of craps is single-player, and so you’re not playing against a timer, nor are you facing any sort of distractions. You’ve got time to play the game as it unfolds, and if you’re ever unsure of the available bets or what to do in a specific passage of play, you can freely open up the rulebook and take your time reading through it.
Live Craps
Unique features: Live dealer hosting the game, ability to chat with players and dealer.
Who it’s suited for: Players after that live casino feel, players confident in their ability.
Craps is perhaps the most social casino game. And if you’re looking to recapture that social feel and chat it up while playing, live craps is the perfect game.
Standard craps rules are in play. Plus, gameplay takes place on a real craps table and uses physical dice. The only thing to know here is that there is a timer, and so you’ll want to be comfortable with at least the basics of craps before sitting down at this table.
Bubble Craps
Unique features: Automatic and live gameplay, fast pace.
Who it’s suited for: Experienced players who want fast gameplay, players who prefer physical dice.
Bubble Craps gets its name from the bubble zone that the dice sit in. As while this game does make use of physical dice, they’re rolled by that vibrating bubble zone. But while that definitely gives the game a unique look, that’s not why people play here. Instead, Bubble Craps is for players who know what they’re doing and want fast gameplay that keeps the action moving.
Again, rules are the same here. However, you’re not going to have time to check through the rulebook if you need to check something, and so this is definitely a variant that you should only play once you’re comfortable with craps.
Crapless Craps
Unique features: Simplified rules.
Who it’s suited for: Players looking for a different craps experience.
Crapless Craps is like craps, though with simpler rules. The biggest difference comes from the come-out roll, as while rolling a 7 here will still award a win on a pass line bet – rolling a 2, 3, 11, or 12 will now set the point rather than awarding you the win in the case of an 11, or a loss in the case of a 2, 3, or 12. Additionally, both the Don’t Pass and Don’t Come bets are typically absent here.
These rule changes make the game much more straightforward. However, it comes at the cost of RTP – and on the Pass bet, the house’s edge increases from 1.41% in normal craps to 5.38% in Crapless Craps.
How Online Craps Works
The game of Craps is a simplified derivative of the English game Hazard, which is rumored to have been played as early as the Crusades. Craps however, is an all-American game, having started in the early 1800s in New Orleans.
While rules can vary a little bit depending on where you’re playing it, sweepstakes casinos tend to use the classic casino rules, which we’ll be covering below.
Craps largely has two phases of play. The first phase is the come-out roll, and is the first place where you’ll come across a unique quirk of craps, which is the unofficial etiquette rules. That’s because while there are two bets, one of them is regarded as the “correct” bet (Pass), and the other is the “incorrect” bet (Don’t Pass).
While etiquette is important when you’re playing at a physical casino, and you’ll definitely want to keep a low profile if you’re playing against the table, this is not the case at sweepstakes casinos. As at craps sweepstakes sites, things are a lot more chill, and you’re free to play however you want without the risk of upsetting the table. For that reason, we’re not going to cover etiquette here.
On the come-out roll, a 7 or 11 will award wins to Pass bets and losses to Don’t Pass bets. Meanwhile, if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, Pass bets lose, and Don’t Pass bets win on 2 and 3, and push on a 12. On a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, the round ends there, and the next round begins again with a new come-out roll. For any other number though, you’ll move on to the second phase of the game.
When a number other than 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 lands on the first roll, that number becomes the point. From here, you keep rolling until one of two numbers lands. Either the 7, which will cause Pass bets to lose and Don’t Pass bets to win. Or, the established point number, which will award wins to Pass bets and losses to Don’t Pass bets. When either of these two numbers land, that betting round finishes, and the next round begins with a new come-out roll.
During the second phase, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a variety of additional bets. In the next section, we’ll explain how these bets work, and what odds you’ll be getting.
Below, we’ll be looking at the most common types of bets in sweepstakes craps.
| Bet Types | Odds & House Edge | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Pass/Don’t Pass | Pass: 1.41% House edge Don’t Pass: 1.36% House edge Both pay out 1:1 | Explained in the Craps Rules section above. |
| Come/Don’t Come | Come: 1.41% House edge Don’t Come: 1.36% House edge Both pay out 1:1 | Come and Don’t Come bets work the same as the Pass and Don’t Pass bets, except they're made on a roll that isn’t the come-out roll. |
| Take Odds | 0% House edge 4 or 10 pays 2:1 5 or 9 pays 3:2 6 or 8 pays 6:5 | Available to players who have an established point on a Pass or Come bet, taking odds allows you to place an additional bet on the point number, with bets paying out true odds. |
| Lay Odds | 0% House edge 4 or 10 pays 1:2 5 or 9 pays 2:3 6 or 8 pays 5:6 | Available to players who have an established point on a Don’t Pass or Don’t Come bet, laying odds allows you to place an additional bet against the point number (betting that the 7 will land first), with bets paying out true odds. |
| Place to Win | 4 or 10 pays 9:5 (1.67% House edge) 5 or 9 pays 7:5 (1.11% House edge) 6 or 8 pays 7:6 (0.46% House edge) | Place to win bets allow you to bet that a specific number will land before the 7. |
| Place to Lose | 4 or 10 pays 5:11 (0.76% House edge) 5 or 9 pays 5:8 (0.69% House edge) 6 or 8 pays 4:5 (0.56% House edge) | Place to lose bets allow you to bet that a 7 will land before a specific number. |
| Hardways | 4 or 10 pays 7:1 6 or 8 pays 9:1 House edge for all Hardways bets is 2.78% | Hardways bets pay out if you roll your number with matching pairs (double 2s, double 5s, double 3s, double 4s). These bets lose if a 7 shows up, or if an easy combination (non-pair) of that number lands. |
| Field | 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11 pay 1:1 2 or 12 pay 2:1 House edge is 5.56% | The Field bet is a one-roll bet that pays out if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 lands - with a 2 or a 12 paying out double. |
| Seven | Seven pays 4:1 and has a house edge of 16.67% | The Seven bet is a one-roll bet that pays out if you roll a 7. |
| Craps Bets | Crap 2 pays 30:1 Crap 3 pays 15:1 Crap 12 pays 30:1 Any Craps pays 7:1 Crap 2 and Crap 3 have a house edge of 13.89% Crap 3 has a a house edge of 11.11% Any Craps has a house edge of 11.11% | The Craps bets are one-roll bets that pay out if you roll the specific Crap number you bet on - or in the case of the Any Craps bet, pays out if you roll any of the Craps numbers. |
| Eleven | Eleven pays 15:1 and has a house edge of 11.11% | The Eleven bet is a one-roll bet that pays out if you roll an 11. |
| C&E | 2, 3, and 12 pay out 3:1 11 pays out 7:1 The C&E bet has a house edge of 11.11% | The C&E bet is a one-roll bet that essentially puts half your wager on the Craps Bet, and the other half on the Eleven bet. Because of this, while 2, 3, 11, and 12 all win, rolling an 11 will pay out the most. |
How to Play Craps at Sweepstakes Casinos
Sweepstakes casinos are a great way to play online craps for the chance to win real money prizes. And below, we’ll be going over how you can get started.
1. First, navigate to one of our recommended sweepstakes craps casinos.
2. Click the register button.
3. Enter the required information and confirm that you have read the terms & conditions.
4. Verify your account through email or mobile, then claim your no deposit welcome bonus.
From here, you’re ready to go. However, if you want to get maximum value, we recommend you also claim the first purchase bonus, which is offered by all sweepstakes casinos. Once that’s done, you’ll have two options for how to play online craps at your chosen app.
The Standard Play currency of sweepstakes casinos (usually called Gold Coins) allows you to test out your craps strategy without any risk. That’s because while gameplay stays the same in Standard Play, any coins that you win or lose have no value and are strictly for fun.
This is one of the real highlights of sweepstakes casinos. And if you’re new to craps, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of Standard Play.
Once you’ve gotten the hang of how craps works, you may wish to switch to the Promotional Play currency (usually called Sweeps Coins). Promotional Play is 100% optional. However, when engaging in Promotional Play, you’ll have the opportunity to win coins that can be redeemed for a real cash prize.
