Two more sweeps casinos appear to be shutting down in the form of Sweeper and Monster Treasure. These were both minor brands in the grand scheme of things, but each one still had plenty of players, and they will be disappointed at the lack of a timeline to allow for final redemptions.
The Monster Treasure site is currently in disarray.
Yes, neither operator appears to have published a clear announcement explaining its closure, but SweepsKings has heard that MTreasure Labs Inc, the operator behind Monster Treasure, has gone into liquidation. The casino is still technically accessible, but parts of it are starting to look like they’re no longer being maintained.
On the other hand, Sweeper has disappeared from its previous domain completely, making the picture there pretty clear-cut.
Monster Treasure’s Reputation Was Already Declining
It’s not a complete surprise that Monster Treasure has closed if you consider the feedback on its Trustpilot page. It ended up with a 2.1 TrustScore, with 75% of its reviews rated one star. In particular, a number of recent players had complained about not receiving redemptions after winning.
One player said they had won $345 and were still waiting for a redemption to be approved, while another claimed that a $500 deposit had turned into around $1,000 in winnings before their account was closed without reason.
Several other reviewers describe similar experiences, including cancelled redemptions and vague references to “bonus abuse” or “unusual activity.” These are individual customer reports, so they should be taken with a grain of salt, but the repeated complaints are certainly worth noting.
Monster Treasure had over 2,500 games from the likes of 3 Oaks, BGaming, and Onlyplay, but the website is now starting to fall apart. Then, with news that the operator has gone into liquidation, it seems the casino’s fate is decided – only four months after launching.
Sweeper Casino Has Disappeared
Sweeper is the more straightforward case. Its platform was previously available at sweepercasino.com, but the domain is now completely inaccessible, with no site available to users.
Sweeper had actually been operating since 2024, so it had much more of a pedigree compared with Monster Treasure. We rated its signup bonus of 100,000 GC + 5 SC highly, and it offered games from Bullshark Games, Hacksaw Gaming, and ICONIC21, even if the library was small.
Its Trustpilot profile was mixed but a little more positive than Monster Treasure, with a current score of 3.3. At this point, though, there’s no indication that Sweeper is coming back.
What Should Players Do?
Unfortunately, there may not be much players can do if either platform has disappeared completely. When sweepstakes casinos shut down without warning, giving players no chance to redeem remaining balances, it’s always a painful time for players.
To put it bluntly, this can happen when a company goes bust, as appears to be the case with Monster Treasure, or when an operator simply disappears, sometimes termed a ‘rug pull’.
