Sweepstakes casinos can change plenty after launch, and unfortunately, not every change is for the better.
We recently looked at three platforms that improved significantly since we first reviewed them, but this time, the picture is the opposite.
Sweep Las Vegas, SweepsUSA, and EpicSweep were all reviewed positively by the SweepsKings team at some point, but changes and problems have led us to blacklist all three this month.
So what happened exactly? Let’s go through each below.
Sweep Las Vegas (Slow or Unpaid Winnings & Unresponsive Support)
When we first reviewed Sweep Las Vegas, we were impressed by its large game library and generous promotions.
The platform was also popular with players during its first few months, and operator Digital Entertainment Development LLC recently expanded the brand to the Australian market too. However, complaints have started to arrive on our forums, and our team has even mediated some of these cases.
The main problem is the amount of time players are reportedly having to wait for help and payouts. Some players have been waiting days for customer support responses, and even small payouts have taken weeks to arrive.
Browsing reviews on Sweep Las Vegas’ Trustpilot profile doesn’t paint a pretty picture either. The vast majority of ratings sit in the 1-star category, especially recently, and that brings the overall score down to 1.5/5.
A recent review from Michael Campbell says:
“been over a month waiting on my 1900.00 redemption. I have emailed the casino and finance team and haven’t received even a email from the finance team not 1… I see on here they have a 1.5 rating and EVERYONE saying the same thing waiting month or months for their redemption.”
All things considered, we’ve decided to blacklist the platform, with its SweepsKings rating now sitting at 44/100.
SweepsUSA (High Playthrough, Delayed Payouts)
SweepsUSA from operator MG Factory NV has a similar story. Our team tested the platform on several occasions and even endorsed it at one point. Initially, it appeared to be a legit sweeps casino with a solid selection of games and features.
However, we later ran into a problem of our own. SweepsUSA refused to pay the affiliate fees it owed us, and we’ve also seen reports from players waiting on payouts, plus unreasonably high playthrough requirements being levied.
It seems SweepsUSA doesn’t want to pay anyone at all, and this is plenty of reason for us to reconsider our original assessment and lower the site’s rating.
Again, Trustpilot reviews aren’t kind to SweepsUSA either, with the overwhelming majority sitting at 1/5, creating an overall score of 1.8/5.
A review from ChilliP says:
“It is the absolute WORST of any online casino I have played at. It is always a struggle. It takes weeks. I just had one [redemption] for $100 already 9 days gone by – I get an email that it was rejected, nevermind the fact I had redeemed prior. I was like you know what – just played it through and closed my account. I loathe casinos like this.”
SweepsUSA is now on the SweepsKings blacklist with a rating of 43/100.
EpicSweep (Struggling to Pay Up)
Our initial experience with EpicSweep was fairly positive too. After Epic Social Play, Inc. launched it in December last year, we tested the social casino and found it to be a decent option. It had a large game library, plenty of providers, and a range of different ways to play.
A few months later, however, things have changed. Like SweepsUSA, EpicSweep is no longer paying affiliate fees or redeeming players on time, with the site giving various excuses for the delays. That’s obviously a serious concern and defeats the point of playing there for most members.
EpicSweep’s Trustpilot fares a bit better than Sweep Las Vegas and SweepsUSA’s, but there are still plenty of 1-star reviews, like this recent one from rkh:
“I won and tried to withdraw after days of waiting they said it’s taking longer than usual because of the company they use for payments. They then send an email saying I wasn’t eligible for it for some reason. Avoid. There are better places to play online than this scam.”
Taking everything into consideration, we’ve now officially blacklisted EpicSweep and recommend that players avoid the platform.
Not Every Sweepstakes Casino Gets Better
All of the brands mentioned above started out with reviews that were positive enough for us to recommend them in some capacity, but now all three have since been blacklisted after problems emerged. Australian expansion aside, fortunately none of these brands have sister sites.
It should be clear that a positive review from a few months ago doesn’t necessarily tell you what a sweepstakes casino is like today, and SweepsKings will always try to keep you informed with our current experience.
And remember, our blacklist is the best place to see all the brands we categorically recommend you steer clear of.
It’s also worth mentioning that we’re beginning to have doubts about the two sweeps casinos from Rafflefy Limited: BigPirate and Dorados. They’re both pulling out of affiliate marketing, which can often be a sign that a platform is struggling financially and will shut down in the near future.
It’s a shame, as we really enjoyed the creative world-building games offered at these sites, but it’s perhaps best to start submitting final redemptions and preparing for closures if you’re a member at either.
