WOW Vegas has launched something brand new for sports fans in the form of WOW Picks: a new place to make picks on sporting events and compete against other WOW Vegas members!
To celebrate the launch, things are kicking off with a huge competition called Last Fan Standing, which comes with a giant 250,000 SC prize pool – and it’s completely free to enter for all members!
It’s worth pointing out that WOW Picks isn’t a full-blown sportsbook feature – instead, it looks more like a dedicated home for one-off sports prediction competitions.
We’d say it’s similar to how Crown Coins introduced Crown Sports for the 2026 World Cup recently, and it fits with the wider trend we’ve seen from some of the bigger social casino platforms as they look for new ways to differentiate themselves from the competition.
WOW Picks Brings Sports Predictions to WOW Vegas
WOW Picks is designed around making picks on sporting events, with both daily and weekly competitions available. However, for its launch, the focus is firmly on the NFL.
Last Fan Standing gives players the chance to pick one NFL team each game week throughout the regular season, with the aim of surviving longer than everyone else.
The format is pretty straightforward, but there’s enough strategy involved to make things interesting:
- Each player starts with three lifelines.
- Each week you choose a different team, and if they win, you stay alive. If they lose, you lose one lifeline.
- Also you can only pick each team once during the entire competition.
So while you might be tempted to use one of the NFL’s stronger teams straight away, doing so means you won’t be able to call on them again later in the season. By the way, if you forget to make your weekly pick before the window closes, that’s treated as a losing pick and you’ll lose a lifeline.
WOW Picks isn’t trying to replicate the experience of placing bets across every NFL game. Instead, it’s built around a simple but fun prediction format where the aim is just to make the right call every week throughout the season and keep yourself in the competition.
Last Fan Standing Has 250,000 SC Up for Grabs
And there’s a pretty big incentive to enter, even if you don’t know much about football: the 250,000 SC prize pool will be split equally between everyone who remains when the competition ends!
For example, if five players are still standing at the end, they’ll receive 50,000 SC each, which would be huge. If 10 players survive, they’ll get 25,000 SC apiece, which would still be amazing. The SC can then be redeemed for cash prizes or played elsewhere on WOW Vegas.
It’ll sure be interesting to see how many players can make it all the way to the end.
In terms of timing, Last Fan Standing runs throughout the 2026 NFL regular season (lasting through January), with the first picks already available for the game week beginning September 9. Best of all, there’s no purchase or SC play requirement to enter – it’s an SC-only promotion, but WOW Vegas members get one free entry.
