Funz Sweepstakes Casino Review

It’s another day, another new sweepstakes casino, or so I thought. Before we dive in, let me clear something up. This review is for Funz Casino, not to be confused with Funzpoints or FunzCity.

Funz launched in March 2025 and already boasts 600+ games from top-tier providers like Big Time Gaming and Relax Gaming, which is genuinely impressive. You’ll find everything from slots and jackpots to instant games and scratchcards, plus new players get a 5 GC + 0.5 SC welcome bonus to get started.

I’ll admit I enjoyed parts of my time on Funz, especially how fast I could create an account using my Gmail (I despise managing passwords). But there were also quite a few things that put me off.

How Funz Social Casino Works

Like most social casinos, Funz operates on a dual-currency system: Gold Coins (GC) for casual play and Sweeps Coins (SC) for redeemable prizes. As expected, you cannot purchase SC directly. They are awarded through promotional offers or as a bonus for purchasing Gold Coin packages.

Sweeps Coins earned through gameplay can be redeemed instantly once you reach the minimum redemption threshold of 100 SC (equal to $100). However, SC received as a bonus must be played through at least once before you can cash out.

These rules make Funz legal in most U.S. states. It’s classified as a promotional sweepstakes platform, not real-money gambling, and therefore doesn’t require a traditional casino license to operate.

While it tries to make things better with the first purchase offer of 1,000,000 GC + 30 SC for $10. Still, it would have been nice to start off with a reasonable free bonus before visiting the coin store.

That said, there are other ways to earn free bonuses, including daily login rewards and mail-in requests.

If you judge a new social casino by its game lobby, you might assume Funz has been around longer than it has. The sheer number of games impressed me most during my review, especially since they come from well-known providers like Relax Gaming, Big Time Gaming, and NetGaming. That means players can enjoy hits like Money Train and branded favorites like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

But while Funz’s content is strong, the user interface seriously drags it down. The lack of categorization made browsing a chore, and the search function didn’t work at all while I was testing the platform. If you’re looking for a specific game like American Blackjack or Roulette, you’ll be stuck scrolling endlessly through pages. Frustrating is putting it mildly.

You need an account to explore Funz’s game offerings, which is pretty common among sweepstakes sites. However, I didn’t like that there were no demo modes for any of the games. Even worse, important information like RTP, volatility, and bet limits is only available once the game has fully loaded.

As with most sweepstakes casinos, you’re not required to make any purchase to start playing, as the platform will reward you with free coins every day. But once you blow through those, the Coin Store lets you purchase Gold Coins (GC), with Sweeps Coins (SC) thrown in as a bonus.

SC can be redeemed for real prizes using bank transfers. However, you’ll need to have played through any bonus SC at least once and accumulated at least 100 SC.

Your wallet balance is always visible at the top of the screen, and switching between SC and GC takes just one tap. In the far right corner is the Get Coins option, which takes you straight to the store. For redemptions, open the side menu and select the relevant option.

Daily redemptions are capped at $10,000 (10,000 SC), unless you’re in Florida, where the limit is $5,000.

Is Funz Casino Legit?

Funz is a sweepstakes casino, so it doesn’t need a license to operate. The site was launched by IGW Global LLC in 2025. On the terms and conditions page, it states that the company is located in Wilmington, Delaware, though some online sources point to Irving, Texas.

That ambiguity isn’t great. In fact, there’s little to no presence on Trustpilot or major social platforms, and even the company’s official website was offline at the time of writing. It does have a minimally active LinkedIn page, but that’s about it.

On the plus side, Funz seems to take player verification seriously. You’ll need to complete photo ID and bank verification before making purchases, claiming SC bonuses, or even playing most games. The name on your bank account must match the name on your profile, which helps prevent fraud.

There’s also decent legal coverage, with a full Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Sweep Rules pages, all of which are easily accessible and clearly worded.

There are two ways to contact the Funz customer support team: email and WhatsApp. However, when I tried to contact the phone number listed, I discovered that it wasn’t even registered on WhatsApp.

I then tried to call the number multiple times, but the calls didn’t go through. That leaves you with just the email address, which is slow. I received a response several hours after sending my query.

I’ve always been a fan of simple, clean interfaces. Call me old school, but I just want to log in, play my favorite games, and relax without having to deal with all the distractions. Funz does a decent job here. Navigation is smooth and intuitive, with most features accessible in two clicks or less.

Yes, the search function is buggy, and the lobby layout is messy, but on the upside, games load quickly and play well.

I also like that players can sign up by just linking their Google Account. This is awesome because that’s another password I don’t have to remember. This, along with overall platform simplicity, is available on both desktop and mobile versions of the site.

How It Stacks Up

Funz Casino enters a saturated market as another average option, not terrible, but struggling to make a meaningful impact. When placed beside established players like McLuck and Fortune Coins, you can clearly start to see its shortcomings.

The game library is one of the few standouts. While not as loaded as McLuck’s 1,000+ game library and Fortune Coins’ special fish game collection, it still holds its ground with 600+ games from providers like Big Time Gaming and Relax Gaming. However, the complete lack of organization ultimately lets it down. Games are thrown together without proper categories, and the search function is a hassle.

Bonuses are another underwhelming part of Funz. The 0.5 SC welcome offer is frankly embarrassing, especially when Fortune Coins hands out 1,000 FC, and even smaller operators like Spinova provide 3 SC just for signing up. However, I must admit that the first-purchase deal is one of the best available.

Banking and customer support are the two other areas where Funz could improve greatly. There are no e-wallets or even live chat for urgent queries. The good news is that Funz does have a solid foundation, and with a few improvements, they can definitely rank higher.

Our Experts Verdict

Funz Casino is an average sweepstakes platform with a few bright spots, like its strong game selection from top providers and smooth UX. But it’s dragged down by lackluster bonuses, slow banking, and poor customer support. While it’s not outright bad, it struggles to compete with established names in the industry.

So if you’re a slot lover who doesn’t care too much about promotions and can wait a while for redemptions, Funz might not be the worst option for you. However, if you do enjoy a good bonus every now and then, and want the full social casino experience, with no buggy functionalities, delayed customer support, and an increased variety of games, like live dealers, you might want to look elsewhere.
