FunzCity Sweepstakes Casino Review
FunzCity is a sweepstakes casino operated by A1 Development, the US-registered company behind several sister sites in the space. It offers a large catalog of over 2,000 casino-style games, including slots, live dealer tables, and fishing shooters from the likes of Slotmill, BGaming, ICONIC21, JILI, and Booming Games.
Like other sweepstakes platforms, it uses a dual-currency system where players can win real cash prizes and gift cards via redeemable coins (CITY Coins). It’s available in most US states, with a few key restrictions, and runs on standard browsers with no app required.
Below, we break down exactly how FunzCity performs across bonuses, games, and withdrawals, but just know that it’s far from our favorite site due to the restrictions on bonus-derived redemptions.
Pros
- Huge game library with 2,000+ titles
- Strong mix of slots, live dealers, and arcades
- Decent signup and first purchase bonuses
- Easy-to-use interface across all devices
Cons
- 25 CC bonus redemption cap is very restrictive
- Tiered redemption limits slow larger cashouts
- No dedicated mobile app available
- No sitewide jackpot network
- RTP information often missing or hidden
FunzCity is a mid-tier sweeps casino with a huge game library, solid bonus variety, and an easy-to-use interface. It suits casual players who want lots of content and don’t mind strict redemption rules. High-value bonus hunters and players who prioritize flexibility or transparency will find the limits frustrating though.
Legal States
All sweepstakes casinos have some restricted states, and here’s the list for FunzCity Casino: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Residents of all other states are fine to sign up, but bear in mind that players must be 21 or over.
How FunzCity Social Casino Works
FunzCity has two main virtual currencies: FUN Coins (FC) and CITY Coins (CC).
FC are for standard gameplay and can be picked up through (optional) purchases, while CC are the promotional coins you get through bonuses, rewards, and giveaways. Importantly, any winnings from the CC side can be redeemed for cash and gift cards after they’ve been played through once.
FunzCity also uses a third currency called Free Plays, and this is essentially credits worth 0.2 CC each and for use on a specific game.
Like at other sweepstakes casinos, no purchase is required to play here, as you can exist on free bonuses. This is what allows the platform to legally operate across much of the US while still offering real cash prizes and gift cards.
However, FunzCity – like all other A1 casinos – has a 25 CC cap on redemptions from bonus funds. Also, if you make a purchase while you still have bonus funds in your wallet, this will apply the same restriction to your purchased coins. This is far from ideal, especially if you’re a bonus hunter.
FunzCity Bonuses
Right after signing up via a SweepsKings link, you’ll receive 125,000 FUN Coins completely free, and then by verifying email, profile, and mobile number, you’ll push that total up to 175,000 FC + 3 CC overall.
That’s a decent amount to explore the site with before even thinking about making a purchase.
There are more paths to take when it comes to the first purchase deals.
If you do want to take advantage of those listed in the coin store, the current deals offer up to 100% extra, which is not amazing – it’s just OK. However, the store advertises these packages as 300% extra, which I don’t understand. For clarity, the exact deals are:
- 750,000 FC + 50 CC for $24.99
- 325,000 FC + 26 CC for $12.99
There’s also a bundle with Free Plays included rather than straight CC:
- 300,000 FC + 55 Free Plays (worth 0.2 CC) for $9.99
Then, if you head to the ‘Promotions’ page, you can take advantage of the ‘Welcome Bundle’ which has 5 levels. If you purchase the first level, you unlock the second, and so on.
Bonuses Review

| First Purchase Bonus | Up to 100% extra CC |
| Daily Login Bonus | Yes |
| VIP Program | Yes |
| Mail-in Bonus | 1 CC |
| Referral Bonus | 500,000 FC + 20 CC |
FunzCity has a big range of promos beyond the welcome package. You can claim small amounts of CC and free spins through the daily bonus system, dependent on your streak. Then, you can grab 500,000 FC and 20 CC for every friend you refer who spends $29.99+. Your friend also gets a reward of 400,000 FC and 5 CC as part of this FunzCity promotion.
You can request 1 CC through the casino’s Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) offer, with full details linked from the footer. There’s also a VIP Club running in the background, where playing more regularly unlocks perks, rewards, and wheel spins as you climb through the levels from Rookie to Overlord.
FunzCity implements a Daily Playback feature, which acts as a loss-back system, returning up to 5% of net losses depending on VIP level. There’s also City Scratch, which is a purchase-based scratchcard system where every spend helps push you along a progress bar that unlocks scratch cards in order. This is firmly tied to purchases rather than free play.
You’ll find Daily Missions too, which give you spending objectives on certain games to unlock small rewards roughly equivalent to the daily rewards.
Finally, look out for social media promos sometimes offering free coins on the official FunzCity Facebook and X profiles.

FunzCity Casino-Style Games
FunzCity has the same lineup of suppliers that you’ll find across all A1 casinos. This includes top-tier studios like Slotmill, BGaming, and ICONIC21 alongside more mid-tier companies like JILI and Booming Games. There are even a few smaller studios that I don’t really know anything about.
Now, the specific games offered might be a little different compared to other A1 brands, giving you a reason to play at the different sites. FunzCity has slots, live dealers, and fishing games, and within that you’ll find 2,100+ titles, which is a lot, all things considered. Each one is available to play in FC or CC mode.
All games are unlocked upon registration, so you can start exploring straight away. If you’re having trouble narrowing the lobby down to choose something, you can try using the filters such as ‘Trending’, ‘New’, ‘Best’, etc. You can also carry on reading my FunzCity games review where I’ll give you some of my favorite picks to try.

When it comes to viewing the Return To Player (RTP) value of a game before you load it up – well, this is not possible. Even after loading the game, many providers here don’t offer such info within the UI, and this is disappointing, as you’re essentially having to trust the provider isn’t using some ridiculously low RTP.
That being said, the bigger studios like Slotmill and BGaming do disclose the RTP, and we found the values to float around 92-94%, which is on the lower side.
At least FunzCity does show you the minimum stakes before the game loads, so that’s something. These tend to sit around 100 FC/0.2 CC and sometimes go as low as 10 FC/0.1 CC per spin/round. Max wins generally weigh in around 5,000x on average, but some go more towards 10,000x.
FunzCity has a dazzling array of slots, including all the popular subtypes like Megaways, Hold & Win, jackpot slots, scatter pays, cluster pays, all ways pays… The list goes on. You’ll never be short of slots to play here. On the contrary, if you’re overwhelmed by the sheer amount, here are some of my picks.
Slotmill rarely makes a bad slot, and one of its best is Emberfall. There’s even the 40K version, which ups the max win to 40,000x.
It has a strong fantasy feel, reminiscent of something like Lord of the Rings, and the core of the gameplay is a tumbling scatter pays system. Plus, Colossal Symbols can emerge randomly at the end of a spin. And what ties everything together is the global multiplier which ratchets up with every tumble.
You might also want to try Mummy Mia by JILI which is basically a clone of Mo Mummy, the iconic land-based casino slot by Aristocrat. It has the 3 bonuses that can be triggered just like the original, plus the classic Cash Collect round where the Mummy chases Diamonds around the board.
As with most of the slots here, the bonus buy feature is available. The only disappointing thing – as is often the case with JILI games – is it’s always in mobile mode, even on desktop, but if you’re playing on your phone, this shouldn’t be an issue.
So these games are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to FunzCity’s excellent slots collection.
If you click the ‘Live Games’ filter in the lobby, you can easily see all the options available and they come from ICONIC21 and JackTop. The lineup covers a wide range of live titles, including multiple blackjack games such as Gravity Blackjack and Cricket Blackjack, alongside roulette titles like Turbo Roulette and Steam Roulette.
Then you’ll find classics like Top Card and Craps, plus more regional games like Andar Bahar, Teen Patti, and Dragon Tiger – all featuring a real-life human dealer on a live video feed. There’s even ICONIC21’s soccer-themed dice game, The Kickoff, and a live game show in the form of Gravity Wheel.
What we don’t have here is basic (non-live) RNG table games – this is a departure from other A1 casinos such as Fortune Wheelz which has options like BlackJack Lucky Sevens and Video Poker.
If you click the ‘Fishing’ filter in the lobby you’ll be able to browse all of FunzCity’s fish shooters too. These are supplied by JILI and NetGame, so you’ll find titles like Thunder Fishing, Candy Heroes, and – one of my favorites – Dragon Shooter: Shoot & Win (pictured).
The idea in all of these games is to shoot ‘enemies’ on screen. Each shot uses up a small portion of your balance, but you score coins for each enemy destroyed. Most are set underwater, hence the ‘fish’ name, but some like Dragon Shooter: Shoot & Win change the theme up.
In fact, this one feels like a classic vertical shoot ’em up arcade game, with the screen scrolling constantly. Again, because it’s a JILI game it does only show in mobile view, even on desktop, but once you get over that, this title and its dragon theme is a lot of fun.

FunzCity Banking
Players can purchase coin packages with FC and CC in from the coin store. This is the other way to get your hands on coins compared to FunzCity’s bonuses. Payment methods for purchase are debit/credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay e-wallet.
Once CC have been played through once, they can be redeemed into real cash prizes or gift cards. The full list of options here is Push-to-Card, PayPal, ACH transfer, and Prizeout gift card. The minimum redemption amount for cash is 100 CC, while the minimum for gift card is only 25 CC.
Players should be aware that there are daily redemption limits at FunzCity, usually at 100 CC per day for players with spending below that amount. If you want to move up through the tiers and expand your daily limit, this depends on your spending at the store. These limits are on top of the 25 CC rule for bonus-derived funds.
The time for redemptions to make their way to your account depends on the method selected, but FunzCity’s wait times are about average compared to competitors overall.

You can view the wallet at all times by just looking towards the top of the screen – there’s a drop down that allows you to quickly switch between FC and CC. You’ll also see the green ‘Buy’ button next to the wallet to take you to the coin store.
Once this tab has opened, you’ll see all the options for packages, and if you haven’t made your first purchase yet, you’ll have a couple of deals available offering 100% extra free. The cheapest possible bundle is $6.99, but we’ve detailed what’s available (at the time of writing) in the table below.
| Cost | FUN Coins | CITY Coins | Free Plays |
|---|---|---|---|
| $6.99 | 70,000 | 7 | N/A |
| $9.99 | 300,000 | N/A | 55 |

| $299.99 | 3,000,000 | 300 | N/A |
| $499.99 | 5,000,000 | 500 | N/A |
All packages here provide at least some CC or Free Plays. After the first purchase deal, which can only be used once, the best value is technically the Free Plays package because you get 10% extra free, however you will be limited as to what game you can spend these on.

Is FunzCity Casino Legit?
A1 Development is the company behind FunzCity, and that alone means it’s legit, even if we don’t always agree with its redemption policies.
A1 also runs Funrize and a number of other sister sites and it’s built up a reputation in the space for operating compliant sweepstakes platforms, at the very least.
From a safety point of view, FunzCity ticks the main boxes. It’s a registered US company, games come from recognized suppliers using RNG-tested systems (for the most part), and standard security features like SSL encryption are in place.
KYC checks are required even before you can purchase, which shows it’s serious about age verification and keeping the platform compliant. It’s good that the age limit is 21+ too, as many casinos are only 18+.
And for what it’s worth, I noticed that FunzCity has a 4.4/5 rating on Trustpilot, so some players are finding it to be a solid choice so far.

To actually use these tools, you’ll want to head to your account page and find the ‘Responsible Play Settings’. Here you can set:
- Activity reminders
- Purchase limits
- Self-exclusion and cool-off periods
If you’d like to delete your account completely, you’ll have to message the support staff.

FunzCity Customer Support
I always find the live chat customer support at any A1 site is prompt, polite, and helpful. It’s available 24 hours 7 days a week too.
Basically, it’s my go-to option when I have a query. You just need to click the live chat box and bypass the useless AI agent. Once you connect with a human, they’ll usually do a great job of answering your question with personalized, detailed messages.
Because the live chat works so well, I don’t really know why you’d use email, which can take a lot longer to get a response, but the option is there if you want to use it. As is the option to message the FB or X pages.

FunzCity Casino UX
FunzCity’s design follows the standard pattern for an A1 casino – dark background color with super bright pink and mint green colors in the fore – and it works well. Things look good and are easy to browse.
Opening up the main nav menu presents you with pretty much all the pages you could ever need. For example, if you head to the ‘Promotions’ page, you’ll see all the different ways to get some free coinage. You can also always visit your account page to see a detailed interface for controlling your personal account and profile.
The site works well across all devices, so it has good responsiveness. You can play on desktop, tablet, and mobile – the choice is yours.
Some players might expect a mobile app, but there isn’t one here at FunzCity. But you’re not missing out on too much because the whole platform works just fine from your smartphone browser.
The filters in the gaming lobby are pretty decent and can help you narrow down the games to make a choice. It’s also good that there’s an info card just before the games load, showing the minimum play amounts. However, as I mentioned earlier, there is no RTP mentioned and I wish there was.

FunzCity Sister Sites
There are several FunzCity sister sites operating under the A1 Development umbrella. These are alternatives for you to try after you play at FunzCity. Despite being cut from the same cloth, so to speak, these sister sites each have a unique identity and appeal.
Check out the table below for a quick comparison:
Comparison

|---|---|---|---|---|
| FunzCity | 2,100+ | 175,000 GC + 3 SC | No | Good signup deal |
| Funrize | 2,000+ | 125,000 GC + 3 SC | No | Reputation |

| StormRush | 1,200+ | 750,000 GC + 1 SC | No | VIP prizes |
How It Stacks Up
Let’s first compare FunzCity to the other A1 casinos like Funrize. Here, I think it sits somewhere in the middle, it doesn’t have all the gaming choices of some of the other A1 brands (missing table games and some instant titles), but it does have a better signup bonus than, for example, Fortune Wheelz, which offers no SC on signup.
Then, compared to the wider sweepstakes scene, FunzCity’s bonus offering and gaming lobby does beat many competitors, but it comes at the cost of having the harsh redemption restrictions, which most rivals just don’t have.
I would say a site like Stake.us has everything FunzCity has and more – a better signup bonus, amazing games in their thousands, and RTPs listed in the lobby. I’d feel more comfortable playing there in the long term.
Our Experts Verdict
FunzCity is a mid-tier sweeps casino with a large game library, a decent spread of bonuses, and a straightforward interface that makes it easy to jump in and start playing. However, it’s also held back by some fairly fundamental systems that affect how flexible and user-friendly it feels overall.
The biggest issue here is the 25 CC cap on bonus-derived funds – it’s extremely limiting and can seriously impact how far promotional winnings can be taken. On top of that, redemption limits are tiered and low, making large cashouts more drawn out than most players would like.
There’s also a lack of transparency in places – for example, some of the promotional wording on-site can feel unclear. While none of this breaks the platform completely, it should make you seriously consider whether you want to play here.
To sum up, FunzCity is best suited to casual sweepstakes players who want variety but don’t mind playing within strict redemption rules. Also, it probably suits experienced players so you can remember to do things like run your wallet all the way down to zero before making a purchase. These are the types of things novice players can forget, and it sometimes feels like FunzCity is banking on this to shave your winnings down.
