Funrize Sweepstakes Casino Review

Launched in 2022 by A1 Development, Funrize is the flagship sweepstakes casino for this operator. It functions via a dual currency system with Coins and Entries that work like GC and SC at other sites. This means players can redeem Entries for real cash prizes once requirements have been fulfilled.
Funrize collaborates with some great gaming suppliers like BGaming, Slotmill, and ICONIC21, bringing us video slots, fish shooters, and live dealers/game shows. It excels when it comes to UI and UX too, with plenty of minigames and sidequests to keep you entertained.
However, there are some major red flags around redemptions and bonus funds, so you’ll want to read on to make sure you are comfortable playing here in the first place.
Pros
- Huge game library with 2,000+ titles
- Variety beyond slots with fish shooters and live dealers
- Feature-rich ecosystem
- Low entry point with bundles starting at $4.99
- Fast, reliable live chat support
Cons
- 25 Entries redemption cap on bonus-derived funds
- Daily redemption limits based on spend
- Mid-tier game providers overall
- Can feel overcomplicated
- Some game RTPs dip low to around 92%
Funrize is a feature-heavy sweeps casino with loads going on: big game count, solid variety, and one of the most gamified bonus systems around. It’s best for casual players who enjoy grinding promos and trying different formats. However, if you’re focused on redemptions from bonus funds, the payout restrictions will likely put you off.
Legal States
Players must be at least 21 years old to play at Funrize. They should also make sure their state of residence is not on the restricted states list: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
If you fulfill these two requirements, you’re free to sign up at Funrize – just make sure to use the promo code SWEEPSKING for the best entry bonus.
How Funrize Social Casino Works
Funrize works like a typical sweepstakes casino. This is not real money gaming – instead, there are two virtual tokens that make Funrize legal in most states under sweepstakes rules.

Other sweeps sites usually call these tokens Gold Coins (GC) and Sweepstakes Coins (SC), but Funrize now opts for the names of Coins and Entries. You might see the legacy names of Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries around the site – I guess Funrize hasn’t fully updated the interface with the new names yet.
Either way, Coins are purely for fun play, and you’ll receive these in abundance via the free bonuses, whereas Entries are in shorter supply because they are used for Promotional Mode. Basically you can redeem Entries for real cash after you’ve played them through once. Redemptions work at a ratio of 1 Entry : $1.
However, we need to note that Funrize has an unusually harsh restriction on how many Entries you can redeem when the source is bonus funds – no matter how big your wins from bonus Entries are, you’ll only be able to redeem up to $25.
There are also daily restrictions on the maximum redemption amounts, even when the source is Entries from bundles in the store.
These two points put off a lot of players from Funrize (and other A1 sweeps casinos) and do bring the site’s overall score down.
Finally, we should also mention a couple more tokens that Funrize uses. First, there are Season Tickets available in certain coin bundles which allow you to join schemes like FunGalaxy. Then there are Dice, which allow you to progress in the Temple Maze minigame.
Funrize Bonuses

The no deposit bonus at Funrize is not bad at all – it currently stands at 125,000 Coins + 3 Entries. Just bear in mind that it comes in parts, so you have to fulfill actions like verifying your email address to receive the whole sum.
Then you have an array of first purchase bonuses (and more) available. This part of the welcome bonus is not compulsory as it involves you spending, but it’s a chance to take advantage of some deals with great value.
Funrize varies the way in which it calculates the free percentage of Entries, but going by SweepsKings’ standard metric, players can get up to 150% free Entries on their first purchase. This is available in the ‘Welcome Pack’ that goes from a first purchase to a fifth purchase offer!
The first stage is $9.99 for 250,000 Coins and 25 Entries, then the percentage of free coins drops a little with each progressive stage. But ultimately this track will get you the most free coins (2,450,000 Coins and 245 Entries in total), even if it does involve five purchases.
Bonuses Review
| No Deposit Bonus | 125,000 Coins + 3 Entries |
| Promo Code | SWEEPSKING |
| First Purchase Bonus | $9.99: 250,000 Coins + 25 Entries OR $24.99: 875,000 Coins + 50 Entries OR $49.99: 2M Coins + 100 Entries |
| Daily Free Credits | 0.2 Entries (progressive rewards) + Wheel Spin |
| VIP Program | Funrize Club |
| Mail-in Bonus | 1 Entry or 5 Free Plays |
| Referral Bonus | 900,000 Coins + 25 Entries (shared) |
Let’s take a look at the many other ways you can get free tokens as an existing player at Funrize Casino:
- The daily free credits at Funrize were basically 0.2 Entries per day when I signed up recently. Then, as the below image shows, if you continue your streak of daily logins till day 7, you’ll get 10 free plays on the Tidal Gold slot. There’s a Daily Wheel too, which you can spin to win Coins and Entries.

- Funrize has a Daily Playback feature, which means if you lose more Coins or Entries than you win in a day, you’ll get a portion back (5% as standard).
- The VIP program at this social casino is called the Funrize Club, and it has 7 levels ranging from Bronze to VIP. As your level rises through more play, the amount of Coins and Entries available on the Daily Wheel and through Daily Playback increases gradually.
- Funrize has an Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE), as any good sweeps casino should. You can enter by following the instructions on the AMOE page (linked in the site’s footer) and each card will land you 1 Entry or 5 free plays with a play level of 0.2 Entries.
- Players can send their custom referral link or QR code to friends and family to gain rewards through the referral program. Your friend should join Funrize and purchase coin packages worth $29.99 in total, then you receive 500,000 Coins and 20 Entries, while your friend gets 400,000 Coins and 5 Entries.
- There’s a challenge called FunGalaxy where you have to hit certain play amounts, but when you do so you can unlock a personal prize pool of free Entries. To enter FunGalaxy you’ll need a Season Ticket.
- There are also regular races in a leaderboard format, and here you move up the board by landing multipliers in-game. If you finish near the top of the board, you’ll be one of the winners that shares in the prize pool. You can find the active and upcoming races on the ‘Races’ page, but you’ll be entered automatically as default.
- I also spotted a few additional minigames like Temple Maze which is a progression game where you can unlock Coins, Entries, and wheel spins. You’ll need Dice to progress, and these are awarded for free daily or with coin bundles.
- Funrize does have social media pages, but it doesn’t tend to post very often. That being said, there is a Funrize Discord which players can sign up to for daily giveaways and promo codes.

Funrize Casino-Style Games

Funrize’s gaming lobby is pretty huge with over 2,000 titles currently, and these are all unlocked from the start. This means the platform beats many of its competitors in the social gaming scene in terms of sheer numbers.
The games are mostly slots but with fishing games, live dealers, and even social RNG table games thrown in for good measure. It’s not a bad selection, but we are missing scratchcards and Original games.
I’d call the gaming suppliers at Funrize mostly B-tier – we’re talking studios like Betsoft, Evoplay, and JILI, with Slotmill and BGaming raising the bar a little. The lobby is updated regularly with new titles, and it’s been steadily growing since Funrize’s launch in 2022.

Players who haven’t signed up/signed in will only be able to view a handful of titles on offer at Funrize – to see the whole selection you’ll want to log in.
Once you’re in, categorization is fairly basic but will help you find your next game to play. At the top of the lobby you’ll see filters like ‘New’, ‘Cascading’, and ‘Megaways’ along with options to view ‘All’ or block off by provider. However, I did notice the filters aren’t always correctly populated.
I found the lobby easy to navigate on the whole and I appreciate the info card that comes up when you click on a title – this allows you to see the max prize, play limits, volatility etc. before you fully load the game.

It’s great that you can easily see the leaderboard next to the game you’re playing too. This lets you know how close you are to a share of that race’s prize pool. Games will often display values in ‘GC’ and ‘SC’, even if Funrize calls the tokens Coins and Entries elsewhere.
The minimum play levels are reasonable, often sitting around 10 Coins or 0.2 Entries, sometimes even lower. RTP levels are about average, generally positioned around 93/94% overall, though they can go as far as 92/96% at the extremes. You should be able to find percentages listed within the UI of most games.
I didn’t enjoy all of Funrize’s slots, but I guess that’s to be expected when the lobby is this big. And I was able to find plenty of great games to play, especially if I stuck to the better providers.
During my latest visit on Funrize I mainly played gem or puzzle-type titles like Big Fruit Theory (Popiplay), Ultra Fruit Smash (Slotmill), and Merge Up 2 (BGaming).
The latter is one of my favorite slots from BGaming, with its cumulative square multipliers in the style of Sugar Rush by Pragmatic Play. On top of that, there’s a neat ladder system affecting the symbols and their values – symbols change and move up the ranks as you create win clusters within the tumble feature.

There’s an emphasis on traditional/fruit machine themes at Funrize, and you’ll also find plenty of Megaways and Hold & Win titles. Many of the mechanics and themes are repeated or derivative (lots of ‘3 pot’ and ‘piggy’ slots), but most slots fans will be satisfied with what’s available.

Fish shooters aren’t always on offer at sweeps casinos. In fact, I’d go so far as saying they’re relatively rare, so Funrize has something of a USP in this regard.
This style of game does offer a change from the purely luck-based nature of slots, as you do feel in control of what enemies to aim at.
You can choose to play traditional fish shooters, manning the cannon underwater on titles like Ocean Hunter (JILI Gaming) or Fishing Kingdom (NetGame), but one of my favorites is Candy Heroes (NetGame).
Here, you’ll find fish-type creatures on-screen, but everything has a candy/dessert-type aesthetic, with enemies made up of marshmallow, chocolate, and cookies. There’s even the opportunity for friends to join you on the same table, effectively making it a multiplayer game.

One of the more recent changes at Funrize is the addition of live dealers and social RNG table games, all supplied by ICONIC21 and JackTop. In fact, ICONIC21 even supplies game shows like Gravity Wheel.
If you don’t know what live dealer games are, they’re table games like blackjack, baccarat, and roulette but manned by an actual human dealer on livestream. There are even multiple variations and tables for some games. For example, if you’re a blackjack fan you have access to Speed Blackjack, Gravity Blackjack, Take Deal or Risk Blackjack, Oasis Blackjack, Cricket Blackjack, Prime Blackjack etc. You’ll find chatrooms on the live dealer titles too – for true social gaming.
Then we come to what I call social RNG table games – these sit somewhere between RNG table games and live dealers.
They’re powered by a random number generator rather than a human live dealer, but there’s still the possibility to play in ‘rooms’ with other Funrize players, elevating them above a standard solo table game experience. An example of this style of game is Blackjack_7 Auto from JackTop.

Funrize Banking

Players can buy bundles of Coins and Entries in the Funrize store, and most of the bundles available also include a Season Ticket (for use in FunGalaxy). You can buy Dice for use on the Temple Maze minigame too.
Once you’ve built up enough Entries, you can redeem them for Prizeout gift cards or real cash. The minimum redemption for gift cards is 25 Entries and the minimum for cash is 100 Entries. Redemption works at a rate of 1 Entry : $1, and wait times via card, bank transfer, and PayPal are usually a few days, with push-to-card being the faster option in general.
We must touch on the 25 Entries limit to bonus fund redemptions again though. This is one of the main downsides to playing at Funrize and all players should be aware of this rule, otherwise you could be very disappointed when you get to the redemption stage. Most other sweepstakes casinos will allow you to redeem unlimited amounts from bonus-derived funds, but this is not the case here.
Also, linked to this, players should run their bonus funds down to zero before making a purchase. If you don’t do this, the 25 Entries rule can ‘infect’ your Entries from coin bundles, applying the same harsh limit.
Payment Options Review

| Visa | Yes | Yes | Up to 3 days |
| Mastercard | Yes | Yes | Up to 3 days |
| PayPal | Yes | Yes | Up to 7 days |
| Bank Transfer | No | Yes | Up to 10 days |
| Gift Cards | No | Yes | Almost Instant |
Your balance of both tokens is always displayed in the top-right corner of the screen and you can always switch between the two. Players can find the store by clicking the ‘Buy’ button in the same area. When funds are eligible for redemption, a ‘Redeem’ button will appear.
Please be aware of the daily redemption limits. The tiers are dependent on how much you’ve spent at Funrize, and this system is another reason why many players don’t like playing here:
- Tier 1 (under $100): Up to 100 Entries per day
- Tier 2 ($100–$300): Up to 250 Entries per day
- Tier 3 ($300–$500): Up to 500 Entries per day
- Tier 4 ($500–$1,000): Up to 1,000 Entries per day
- Tier 5 (over $1,000): Up to 2,000 Entries per day
| Cost | Coins | Entries | Extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4.99 (personal offer) | 225,000 | 12.5 | N/A |
| $9.99 (first purchase) | 250,000 | 25 | N/A |

| $299.99 | 3,000,000 | 300 | 1 Season Ticket |
| $499.99 | 5,000,000 | 500 | 1 Season Ticket |
The packages with the best value are, of course, the first purchase offers. After using your first purchase up, the value is consistent across the bundles, regardless of purchase size.

Is Funrize Casino Legit?
A1 Development is incorporated in Wyoming and has multiple sweepstakes casinos on its roster (TaoFortune, NoLimitCoins, etc.) so we know this operator well. Funrize is often cited as the most popular of all the A1 brands, by the way.
Overall, we find A1 to be a legitimate sweepstakes casino operator. KYC checks and geo-blocks are in place, and players who aren’t yet 21 years of age cannot sign up. Games are provided by trusted suppliers, and the site complies with sweepstakes rules.
When it comes to user feedback, we had several complaints about Funrize on our forum. All of them have been tied to the redemption limits and bonus rules discussed so far in our review. Apparently most users are now aware of these restrictions and are generally pleased with the service. For example, the average rating for the casino on Trustpilot is 4.1/5 after 4,600+ reviews.

Along with T&Cs and the privacy policy, a link to the Responsible Social Gameplay policy can be found in Funrize’s footer. Players can also access ‘Responsible Play Settings’ from the ‘Account’ page.
Here, you can take control of gameplay limits for yourself by setting activity reminders, purchase limits, and cool off or self-exclusion periods. This is good to see, as we always prefer when these options are within a player’s direct control. If you want to fully deactivate your account, you can do so by contacting the Funrize support team.

Funrize Customer Support

I always think it’s funny when a site has very little in the way of a help center or FAQs but also has live chat where support staff are there to answer any of your questions. I wish Funrize did have more pages you could browse on your own. This would save the company money and time, I’m sure – or maybe it likes offering a personal touch for users?
For the time being, Funrize only has a page called ‘How It Works‘, which does explain the basics of the whole site, but you’ll often want to know more, or maybe you have a specific problem that you need help with.
Fortunately the live chat box is well-manned, and you should get responses to your questions within minutes. You’ll just have to bypass the AI chat agent first, which isn’t very helpful.

Funrize Casino UX

To cut to the chase, I’m a fan of the UI and UX at Funrize.
I think color is used really well here. The dark blue backgrounds allow all the other brighter colors in the foreground to pop, and things are really easy to read and navigate in general. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design.
Some sweepstakes casinos can feel a little bare, but Funrize feels jam-packed with various pages and widgets that help explain things and point you in the right direction. For example, on the left-hand sidebar there are links to the Funrize Club area, all the main bonus fund avenues – represented by little icons – and then the other main areas like the game lobby. If that’s not enough, the ‘Promotions’ page and ‘Rewards’ tab keep you up to speed on what’s available too. It makes you feel like you can easily keep track of all the possible sources of free coins.
When it comes to filtering for games in the lobby, this is done fairly well. As I said earlier, sometimes the categories aren’t fully populated, but it’s not the end of the world. The main filter I use is ‘Providers’ anyway and this works fine.

This site works equally well on both desktop and mobile. There was previously a mobile app, but support told us it was discontinued as it was too much work to maintain. However, the site is perfectly mobile-friendly, so it’s not really an issue.
UX Assessment
Funrize Sister Sites
There are five other casinos managed by A1 Development, LLC: NoLimitCoins, Fortune Wheelz, FunzCity, StormRush, and TaoFortune. If you’re looking for a similar experience, you can learn more about them from the table I’ve added below.
Comparison
| Funrize Sister Sites | Games | Welcome Bonus | Apps | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Funrize | 2,000+ | 125,000 Coins + 3 Entries | N/A | Most reputable A1 site |
| TaoFortune | 1,700+ | 250,000 GC + 1 SC | Android | Ongoing races |
| NoLimitCoins | 1,450+ | 110,000 GC + 1 SC | iOS, Android | Mobile experience |
| FunzCity | 950+ | 175,000 GC + 3 SC | N/A | Top daily offers |
| Fortune Wheelz | 1,300+ | 250,000 GC | Android | Ongoing discounts |
| StormRush | 1,200+ | 750,000 GC + 1 SC | N/A | VIP program |
How It Stacks Up
Compared to big sweepstakes casinos like McLuck and WOW Vegas, Funrize sits in an interesting middle space where it wins on some features but loses overall.
On paper, Funrize’s 2,000+ game library is bigger than McLuck’s, and Funrize’s signup offer is also a little higher at 3 Entries rather than 2.5 SC. But when you start comparing real-world player value, things change.
McLuck offers a more straightforward redemption system, and its overall platform is generally more polished in terms of supplier and game quality.
Then we could look at another big brand like WOW Vegas, and it beats Funrize even more comprehensively. Its game total is comparable, while the signup bonus of 250,000 WOW Coins + 5 SC is clearly better. Plus its minimum redemption figure of $50 is more user-friendly than Funrize’s $100.
So while Funrize beats a lot of the smaller, lesser-known sweeps casinos, it doesn’t quite compare with some of the biggest names in the game.
Our Experts Verdict
To sum up, the SweepsKings team enjoyed the UX, game library, and overall presentation at Funrize. The slots choice feels modern and massive, and the addition of fish shooters, live dealer tables, and social RNG formats gives Funrize a broad offering that will appeal to fans with niche tastes.
However, we have to return to the biggest drawback, which is the redemption structure. Unfortunately, this is a dealbreaker. The 25 Entries cap on bonus-derived winnings, combined with the daily withdrawal limits and the potential contamination between bonus and purchased funds really makes this site feel stingy and plain unfair at times.
So while the bonus selection itself is one of the most fleshed-out in the industry, it’s constrained in a way that frustrates you, particularly if you want to play for cash prizes from bonus funds.
Funrize is perhaps suited to players who want a jam-packed sweepstakes experience with lots of great games and side systems, and who don’t mind the awkward limitations on redemptions.
