And while they initially flew under the radar, parent company Stackr Social, LLC has done a great job at refining and strengthening Stackr — leading to them becoming one of the most popular sweepstakes casinos in the US. Having played at Stackr for over two years now, I’ve seen all the changes and have been impressed by their growth. However, this guide isn’t going to be looking at that. And instead, this review is solely focused on how they are today, what sort of players I’d recommend trying them out, and how they stack up against other top sweepstakes casinos.

How Stackr Social Casino Works

Stackr Casino uses the same sweepstakes aspect that you’ll find at other sites. In short, it makes use of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Gold Coins are used to play for fun, and can be won through promos, bonuses, and can be purchased in GC packages.

One of my favorite things about Stackr is that their bonuses aren’t just geared towards new players. And existing players can look forward to the following bonuses:

• AMOE — The terms of this bonus are a little unclear — however, by following the instructions of the Sweepstakes Rules page and sending a postcard into Stackr headquarters, you’ll be awarded with 0.9 or 0.7 Sweeps Coins.
• Daily Wheel Spin — In addition to their login bonus, Stackr also offers a daily wheel spin that can award up to 3,000,000 Gold Coins and 100 SC per day. Your coins balance will always be shown at the top of the screen. To purchase a Gold Coins package, click the ‘Get Coins’ button, and then choose which of the packages you wish to purchase. From there, you’ll be given a few options for how to complete your purchase at Stackr Casino.

Crypto purchases can be made with a variety of cryptocurrencies through either TILT Payments, or Triple A. Alternatively, you can also pay with the card of your choice. One thing to keep in mind though, is that if you pay with a card, you’ll have to cover the service fee. The exact amount and percentage this service fee will be will vary based on the cost of your purchase. However, I’ve found it’s usually 8-9%. Once you’ve selected your payment method, fill in the relevant prompts, and your purchase order will be processed.

For redemptions, you’ll need to ensure that you’ve played with your Sweeps Coins at least once and that you have a balance of no less than 100 Sweeps Coins. Further, if you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to complete the KYC verification process before you can make a redemption. Once you’ve met those requirements though, you’ll be able to redeem your Stackr SC coins.

Again, you’ll have a couple of options to choose from here. And while technically there is no max redemption limit, Stackr states that they may impose a max redemption of $5,000.

For the most part, redemptions are pretty quick. And with the exception of the first redemption, I’ve found that all of my redemptions were processed within just a couple of hours. Although again, it’s important to note that if your winning comes from the daily login bonuses, redemptions can take up to seven business days, and are limited to $100 per month.

Stackr’s customer support is mainly good — however, there are still some faults. Live chat and email are really all you’re given. Though while the human customer service team themselves are really good, I thought the automated assistant that they sometimes give you in place of live chat was pretty bad.

I asked if there was an FAQ page. And in response it told me there was one, but it could only provide me with a broken link and vague directions on finding it.

Fortunately, I was able to reach a person, and they were much more helpful. Oddly enough though, it does appear that there really is no FAQ page — which is a bit unusual for a sweepstakes casino that has been operating as long as Stackr.

While Stackr is available on both desktop and mobile devices, this is definitely a sweepstakes casino that I’d say is better for mobile use. To clarify, it works fine on all devices. However, from a design point of view, it looks and feels a lot better when played from your mobile device.

Further, while there is an app available for download on their site, it functions pretty much the same as the mobile site — and its main benefit is that once logged in, it allows you to access its sweepstakes casino with just a single tap.

On all devices, the site is easy to navigate. Though personally, I do think that the Live Dealer & Crash-Arcade category is a bit ham-fisted, and I believe that it would be better if each game type had its own category. But these are more just nitpicks.

How It Stacks Up

If you look at all the best sweepstakes casinos, they all do something unique. And with its combination of fiat and non-fiat banking as well as its generous daily bonuses, Stackr not only manages to stand up against the other big names, but in certain areas, it even comes out ahead.

However, Stackr does still have some noticeable issues. Mainly, the fees for card purchases are just too high, and a dedicated help centre seems like an odd omission for such an otherwise great site.

Because of this, while I could see Stackr being a top 10 site, I don’t think it manages to crack into the top three just yet.

Our Experts Verdict

Stackr is one of the best sweepstakes casinos around. They’ve been around for quite a while at this point, and so you know you can trust them. And what’s more, they’re one of these sites that are just constantly looking for ways to change and to get better.

Yes, the fees for card purchases are bad. But if you stick it out, the VIP bonus will more than make up for this deficit, and even give you a couple of extra coins to boot.
