If you went by the terms pages of SpinBison and Jackpot Mesa, you’d probably assume the two new sweepstakes casinos have some kind of connection to Poly.
Both sites list the US-incorporated operator Truessence Inc. in their legal documentation, just like Poly does, and their websites also bear a striking resemblance to Poly’s interface.
But when we started digging deeper, things didn’t quite add up. Read on to find out why.
SpinBison and Jackpot Mesa Name Truessence Inc. in Terms
So the first apparent connection is there in the legal documentation. SpinBison’s Sweepstakes Rules name Truessence Inc. as the sponsor, while Jackpot Mesa does the same in its Terms of Use. That’s the same company – and the same address – given in Poly’s Terms of Use.
Now Poly Casino has been operating since last year and we gave it 74.8/100 score in our honest review – it’s not a bad sweeps casino at all, and it’s legit.
On the other hand, we’re in the process of reviewing Jackpot Mesa, and in our SpinBison review, we found links to a UK-registered business called HyperNova Software Ltd, and also figured out that the domain was registered in Beijing, China. Plus, HyperNova’s director Su Gengtian, is a Chinese national based in Shenzhen, China.
Basically, Truessence Inc., a US-based company is mentioned nowhere outside of the small reference in the legal docs, while another brand new operator appears to be involved.
SpinBison and Jackpot Mesa Look a Lot Like Poly
And it doesn’t stop there: the two new platforms appear to have borrowed heavily from Poly’s user interface and overall experience.
Yes, spend some time on SpinBison or Jackpot Mesa and the visual similarities to the more established Poly platform become difficult to miss.
But scratch a bit deeper and there are certainly differences. Like Poly has a much more reliable selection of providers, including Evoplay, Hacksaw Gaming, Betsoft, BGaming and Evolution. Poly also has a far more extensive range of promotions, with everything from daily bonuses to rebates to social media offers.
SpinBison and Jackpot Mesa, meanwhile, have titles listed as coming from questionable providers like Pragmatic Play – we shouldn’t be seeing Pragmatic in our space since it announced it had pulled out of the vertical last year. Then there’s the unusual currency system of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins alongside a separate BC currency, with players apparently needing to complete progress/purchase requirements before converting BC into SC.
Also, the games that are available seem to be listed under vague provider names, and there are questions about how they’re being supplied, with fake verification pages and the like.
Drawing all this together, it’s looking to us like Poly and SpinBison/Jackpot Mesa are operated by completely separate entities, and the latter two brands are simply imitating Poly and claiming to have the same operator – but that could easily be a lie.
It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen such a ploy. You’ll see in our SlotPlay review that this site claims to be operated by the famous B-Two Operations, but that just isn’t true – we asked B-Two and it was denied.
Basically, as we said in our SpinBison review, this is a shady casino and we wouldn’t recommend playing there. The sweepstakes space does have dodgy players like this, and they can easily take players’ money and ride off into the sunset with no oversight.
Closing Thoughts
Players shouldn’t assume SpinBison or Jackpot Mesa are legit simply because their legal pages contain the same company name used by Poly. We’ve found enough inconsistencies to make that point very questionable.
We’ve also contacted Poly to ask whether it has any connection to either platform, but haven’t received a response at the time of writing. Until we get some clarification, we’re treating the claimed Truessence Inc. connection as an untruth, particularly with so many other red flags associated with the two platforms.
If you are looking for a new sweepstakes site to play at, there are plenty of established options where the operator, games, and terms are much easier to verify. There’s little reason to take a chance on platforms like SpinBison and Jackpot Mesa that raise this many questions.
