Pulsz sweepstakes casino has begun to email Indiana-based players to let them know that Sweeps Coins (SC) play will be shut off from June 22.
We expect the restriction to apply to Pulsz Bingo too, with both sites managed by the same operator, Yellow Social Interactive.
The email from Pulsz reads:
“As a resident of the State of Indiana, we’ve got important news about your account.
As of June 22, 2026, players residing in Indiana – players like yourself – will no longer be able to play at Pulsz.com with Sweepstake Coins (“SC”).”
This suggests that Gold Coin (GC) play will still be available to Indiana residents – something Pulsz tends to offer in states where SC gaming is outlawed.
Yes, this shift in Indiana is in response to HB 1052, a new gambling bill signed into law by Governor Mike Braun in March. The bill’s effective date is July 1, and we expect all legitimate sweepstakes casinos to exit the Hoosier State or remove SC play by then.
This is because HB 1052 defines ‘sweepstakes games’ as illegal, applying the possibility of fines of up $100,000 for operators who offer these platforms in IN.
The official definition for sweepstakes games in the bill reads:
“(1) is available on the Internet;
(2) is accessible on a mobile phone, computer terminal, or
similar access device;
(3) utilizes a dual-currency or multi-currency system of
payment allowing a player to exchange currency for:
(A) a cash prize, a cash award, or cash equivalents; or
(B) a chance to win a cash prize, a cash award, or cash
equivalents; and
(4) simulates:
(A) lottery games; or
(B) casino-style gaming, including slot machines, video
poker, table games, bingo, or sports wagering.”
The definitions of ‘dual-currency’ and ‘multi-currency’ capture the GC/SC system used by the vast majority of sweepstakes casinos and sportsbooks – where SC can be redeemed into real cash prizes. However, GC-only play won’t fall under this – or other – anti-sweeps definitions as it exists purely for fun with no chance of real money redemption.
So the unfortunate reality for sweeps players in Indiana is that they’ll only be able to play casino-style games for fun from July 1.
As always in these situations, we urge Indiana-based Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo players with any SC balance remaining to submit a redemption request as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Also look out for emails from other sweepstakes brands as the July 1 deadline approaches.
