Apart from a few hundred games from big providers, everything about CoinsBucks feels off, from promotions and purchase deals to redemptions and beyond.

According to the casino’s T&Cs, CoinsBucks is legally available in 42 US states, excluding Washington, Idaho, Michigan, Connecticut, Kentucky, Delaware, Nevada, and Montana. However, it doesn’t use KYC checks or geofence technology to prevent players from non-eligible states from playing.

How CoinsBucks Casino Works

CoinsBucks is a classic sweepstakes casino, meaning it follows a dual-currency system of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins instead of real cash.

Gold Coins hold no monetary value and can be used to play for fun or test games, while Sweeps Coins are essentially bonus funds with a 1x playthrough requirement.

Wager your SC to make them redeemable — once you’ve accumulated 50 SC that have been played through, you can redeem them via PayPal for real money prizes.

I received an 8,000 GC and 3 SC CoinsBucks no deposit bonus automatically after completing the sign-up procedure. If you are willing to fund your account, the first purchase deal grants newcomers 100,000 GC + 14.99 SC for $9.99.

As for the no deposit offer, 3 SC is a good start, and I was happy to see that the site features a progressive daily bonus, but things went downhill from there.

Bonuses Review

The Daily Login bonus window appeared seconds after I claimed the no deposit boost to grant me 20,000 GC. It’s a progressive bonus system, which I generally appreciate because every subsequent daily login increases the bonus value.

Specifically, you get 30k GC on day 2, 50k GC on day 3, 80k GC on day 4, 100k on day 5, 200k on day 6, and then 100k GC + 0.3 SC on your seventh consecutive login. The GC sums are fine, I guess, but the near-complete absence of SC is a joke. When we draw the bottom line, 0.3 free SC per week is ridiculously low.

Moving on, I was surprised by the lack of a mail-in bonus on the AMOE page. First of all, this only increases the shady aspect because mail-in bonus details would have to reveal company details, as well. Again, in case you missed it, there is zero information on who owns the site.

Back to the AMOE page, it’s a three-point bullet list that just reiterates how all new players receive the no deposit bonus, how they can claim the daily bonus, and that the site “occasionally hosts events where players can earn free Gold Coins and Sweep Coins.”

Additional purchase deals are available, and they are called Streak Rewards. Basically, if you claim the $9.99 first purchase bonus, you will unlock another deal of 400,00 GC + 12.99 free SC for $9.99. If you claim that deal, you will get another one: 600,000 GC + 22.99 free SC for $19.99.

CoinsBucks also has a 9-tier VIP program where you earn 100 experience points for every $1 recharged. Each level-up nets you free SC and reduced redemption fees, which are excessively high to begin with. Level 1 gives you 0.2 free SC and puts the processing fee down to 3% + $0.5, while the final Level 9 unlocks 50 free SC with 2% + a $0.3 processing fee. This isn’t really a loyalty program — it’s more like a cashback bonus.

The CoinsBucks catalog includes 600+ games, mostly slots and about two dozen live dealer tables.

There are a few bingo rooms, too, and 20+ mini-games for casual players. The site is powered by several high-profile providers, including Pragmatic Play and Spadegaming.

I spotted a few lesser-known studios, including FC Gaming and S777. Not only are these two quite obscure, but S777 (or Spinfinity777) doesn’t even have an official website. We were off to a decent start, but alas, another red flag.

Games and Software Review

The lobby doesn’t include any specs, but tapping any game will reveal factors like the volatility rating, max exposure, betting limits, and the provider name. Lobby access is restricted to registered players only, and the RTPs of individual games aren’t listed anywhere.

Another problem is that most of these slots don’t accept wagers below 500–1,000 Gold Coins. I found a few that allow you to wager 200–250 GC per spin (e.g. Aztec Gems, Speed Winner, and Wild Fireworks), but almost half of the CoinsBucks Casino’s catalog is filled with high-stakes games. This makes the bonus funds way less valuable and, again, pushes you to make a purchase.

The minimum purchase is $4.99, which is in line with the industry average. It’s a bit hidden among the pricier ones in the last row. I’ve played on many sites where the cheapest options were as low as $0.99, though, so I wasn’t overly impressed by the way CoinsBucks structured its GC packs.

A word of warning: CoinsBucks charges fees for redemptions. You can soften the fees by leveling up your VIP rank, but there’s no way to avoid them.

You can tap on the Coin icon next to your in-game wallet in the top right or use the Quick Buy menu at the bottom of the lobby to find Gold Coin packs. You’ll be asked to provide your date of birth and then be redirected to the shop.

To send a redemption request, open your Profile, scroll down to the Sweepstake Prize Redemption tab, and tap “View.”

You’re required to pass a KYC check before you can send any redemption requests. The bar at the top tracks your playthrough progress, which is a fairly common feature. What’s uncommon is that this page also tracks your VIP level, which affects your redemption processing fees.

As a Level 1 player, you’ll be looking at a 3% fee plus a flat $0.5 per redemption. Assuming you make it to 50 redeemable SC, which is the minimum daily limit, you’ll have to pay a $2 fee.

To illustrate how meaningless the VIP “fee reduction” is, let’s assume you make it to Level 9, where redemption processing fees are 2% + a flat $0.3, which would be $1.3 for a minimum prize redemption. This scales poorly even for major wins, and the biggest problem is that you technically have to make purchases to get reasonable amounts of SC for playing.

Is CoinsBucks Legit?

No, CoinsBucks is not legit. A sweepstakes casino that hides its owner will never be considered legitimate in our book.

This is the part where we dived into the T&Cs and revealed another piece of shady info: the Terms and Conditions page doesn’t even refer to this casino as CoinsBucks, it calls it Dollar Mills.

We tested Dollar Mills, and it’s on the SweepsKings blacklist. The fact that they just copy-pasted the Dollar Mills T&Cs would even be funny if real money purchases weren’t involved.

Beyond Dollar Mills, BucksJet is another shady sister site of CoinsBucks. These three are absolutely identical, and as you could’ve guessed, not one of them reveals who’s behind the wheel.

The red flags are piling up, but when a red flag relates to transparency and legitimacy, it just makes things even worse.

For what it’s worth, my initial impressions of CoinsBucks would’ve been more positive had my tests begun with customer support.

The site has a live chat manned by real support agents; throughout my correspondence with the casino’s staff, I received timely responses within 5–10 minutes on average. Funnily enough, this was the experience the SweepsKings team also had with Dollar Mills.

The issue here is that there are no other support channels to rely on. I couldn’t find any email addresses related to CoinsBucks, and tapping “Customer Service” from the footer simply opens the live chat again.
