LuckyStake Social Casino is closing down, only a few months after SweepNext began moving its players over to the platform.
LuckyStake was a solid place to play, with 800+ games from the likes of RubyPlay, Relax Gaming, and Slotmill, although it never quite broke through into the big leagues in terms of popularity.
Then, users recently received an email informing them of the imminent closure. In fact, the message went into more detail than is typical of these shutdown messages. Let’s look at the main dates below.
Relevant Dates for LuckyStake Closure
Coin bundle purchases and gameplay will be available until August 14. After this date, purchases and gameplay will be shut off at LuckyStake. This is also the date for the closure of the AMOE program, meaning any mail-in entries received after this date will not be valid.
Also, SC redemption requests must be submitted by August 20 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time to be considered.
“Any redemption request already pending, as well as any eligible redemption request submitted by the deadline, will remain active and will continue to be reviewed after the platform and player accounts close.
Account closure will not automatically cancel a redemption request submitted on time. If your request is approved, it will continue to be processed after the closure date. If additional identity-verification documents or information are required, our team will contact you.”
So players don’t necessarily need to have their redemption approved before LuckyStake closes, provided the request itself is submitted by the August 20 deadline.

LuckyStake Closure Comes Shortly After SweepNext Migration
The closure initially came as something of a surprise, given that LuckyStake was the destination that SweepNext users were pushed to back in April (with SweepNext closing down soon after).
The two sweeps brands were seemingly unconnected at that point, being operated by Boostora Ltd and ElevateTech Ltd respectively, but some kind of relationship between the two was clearly in place. SweepNext users were actively encouraged to move their accounts and balances over to LuckyStake, making the latter’s recent closure announcement noteworthy.
There was, however, perhaps an earlier warning sign. Back in March, LuckyStake announced that the team was slowing down its marketing efforts. The platform remained available to players, but the announcement suggested that its ambitions were already being scaled back.
Taking that into consideration, along with how volatile the sweeps space has been in recent months, perhaps the closure isn’t quite as surprising as it initially seemed. Still, the decision to move SweepNext players over to LuckyStake only a few months before shutting down the platform makes for a short-lived transition.
Operator ElevateTech Ltd has no other sweepstakes casinos in operation, so it seems to be pulling out of the vertical completely, at least for now.
Fortunately, it’s giving players a good amount of time to finish up unlike many other sites that just go offline. The main thing is to make sure any SC redemption requests are submitted before the August 20 deadline. Those who still have coins left to use will need to do so before gameplay is switched off on August 14.
