At SweepsKings, we recently had the chance to explore TaDa Gaming—an emerging game developer making waves in the US sweepstakes space with their fast-paced fishing-shooting titles.
One of their standout partners is Dara Casino, a brand we proudly recommend and one of the few offering TaDa’s signature fish games.
In the full interview below, Wesley Yang, COO of US Markets at TaDa Gaming, shares insights into their most popular shooter games, what sets them apart, and what’s coming next for US players.
Spokesperson – Wesley Yang, COO US Markets, TaDa Gaming
How many years have you been creating fishing-shooting games, and where did your inspiration come from?
We’ve been designing and releasing mobile fishing-shooting games for the last four years as an ongoing development from our arcade shooting games. We are currently reinforcing our name as the No. 1 provider by taking all these games to global audiences. Our success in Latin America, Brazil especially, has been enhanced by our superb localization and we are building our brand in other casino markets with a similar strategy.
TaDa’s recent entry into the US market with leading sweepstakes operator, Dara Casino is paying dividends, with our leading fishing-shooting games clearly appealing to numerous players across 35+ states.
Inspiration comes from our fantastic creative teams, dedicated tech department and deep research and learning. When we first began, the games were cutting edge for the time. However, technology is a non-stop environment and so our games are constantly updated with faster shooting/gaming mechanics and impressive synchronization. We have also developed exciting new themes, taking the action out of the ocean and into the streets in latest release Fortune Zombie.
Which of your fishing-shooting games are you most proud of, and for what reasons?
Mega Fishing has got to be first choice. Just for background: fishing shooting games are RNG casino products that are more like video games than slots or other casino games. The whole screen is the gameplay. Most games offer multiplayer functionality; and there are no reels or paylines. Players win by strategically taking out fish, underwater creatures or Big Bosses. Each creature has its own value, multiplier or prize potential, so players choose how to win by deciding what to shoot at and how high a risk they want to take.
Back to Mega Fishing – the clue’s in the name. Visually stunning, the range of features is immense including Effects and Multiplier Fish that bring plenty of wins, plus unique Power Ups where the whole screen comes alive with Big Bosses to trigger whirlpools that suck in all the surrounding fish. There are also Fortune Wheels that can raise the temperature with 950x wins, plus some serious firepower with Railguns, Torpedoes and a Free Thunderbolt.
With Newbie, Joy and Honor ‘rooms’ to choose from, each room offers a different volatility and win potential as well as different features and bonus games. There’s a lot in Mega Fishing, but the rules are simple and the gaming is exceptional. It delivers immersive experiences for players which create true engagement and repeat plays. That’s the ultimate compliment for a game.
What are the main differences between fishing-shooting games in a land-based venue and the online variants?
The main difference is that mobile games can be played 24/7, anywhere, anytime by anyone with a cell phone, tablet or computer. They are easily accessible and just need to be clicked or tapped to play. Land-based games usually are more physical with joysticks to aim and shoot at virtual creatures displayed on a larger screen.
The graphics on mobile fishing-shooting games are vastly superior in terms of 3D cinematic quality and pixelation to land-based and there’s more easily accessible variety in game theme online than the ones in casinos.
Unlike land based games, all our online games have tutorials and free demo play which is a great draw for novice gamers. It really is worthwhile to start in this mode: always read the rules and paytable and discover how the features interact to secure the best chance of winning – and this is all completely risk free.
Critically, with mobile games, players can choose a ‘Room’ to play in which gives specific parameters. From risk/win potential to choosing the features and bonuses, which creatures to shoot and which weapons to prioritize, players are fully in control of the online gaming experience.
Does the term “skill-influenced” apply to online fishing-shooting games?
Definitely. In most online fishing-shooting games, players have to aim and shoot at moving creatures and accurately hit the target ‘s sweet spot. The better hand/eye co-ordination and dexterity, the more likely a player is to succeed.
With TaDa games however, we also give functions such as Auto; which allows players to specifically target creatures based on value; and Aim, which will lock on to the chosen target and not hit any obstacles in the way, so preserving ammo. This is a choice for players to use or not. Many players want to challenge themselves but it’s a good way to see how the characters and features interact to create wins.
With ammo, as each shot fired uses Sweeps Coins, conserving your resources is a key skill. Making strategic decisions on when to fire, where and at what as well as which weapon to use and how to avail yourself of free ammo are all personal decisions and players usually get better the more they play.
Which of your fishing-shooting games would you recommend to a new player who hasn’t played the genre before to try out first?
Mega Fishing is definitely one for everyone to try; but Lucky Shooter would be a good starting game. It offers clear and easy to follow rules and a tutorial at the beginning to familiarize players with the controls. High value characters are color coded to make them instantly recognizable for their prize potential – such as the Green Cyclops or the Golden Knight.
The action is set on a river full of amazing characters from goblins and an Ice Dragon to three headed dogs and a Boss Octopus who gives higher rewards of up to 320x prize value when he’s angry; so it’s visually stunning and fun to play. We also customize the characters for specific events and occasions and we had a lot of positive comments at Thanksgiving and St Patrick’s Day for our efforts to get in the spirit!
As well as the gun turrets, there is also a great selection of weapons, including a Hammer, a Free Lightning Spear, a Rocket Punch and some mines to blow everything up. Depending on your strategy, you can throw everything at the creatures or use the Aim and Auto functions to target specific creatures only and automatically fire at them, conserving ammo.
There are plenty of opportunities to increase your prizes, including a fantastic Crocodile bonus where the rewards relate to the play value, giving players the opportunity to build up their skill sets before going for big prizes.
What is on the horizon in terms of new fishing-shooting games? Do you have any exciting releases planned for 2025?
We will be releasing new games monthly. This will give players a wider choice of theme, features and bonuses and encourage them to experiment with different weapons, narratives and challenges. In this way, they can easily see what each game offers them in terms of entertainment and rewards.
We also have a number of straightforward shooting games ready to launch. Fishing-shooting is still a novelty in the US although shooting and arcade games are recognized concepts. Our shooting releases will showcase our industry-leading shooting mechanics with which we made our name, alongside faster gameplay and new characters.
TaDa is in the entertainment business and entertaining players to keep them loyal and rewarded customers is what we do best. We are very excited for the future.
