SweepSlots Announces Closure Days After Launching Memecoin

Shady sweepstakes casino, SweepSlots has announced it’s closing down only days after launching its own memecoin.

The announcement, which we first saw via a Reddit post, confirms that SweepSlots will officially close on June 20, 2025. Incredibly, this comes less than a week after the team began promoting a new crypto token on social media, claiming it was “backed by a real casino” – but that casino is now being shuttered.

Blacklisted for Not Paying Out

SweepSlots has been on our sweepstakes blacklist for a while after far too many reports of players and affiliate partners not receiving the redemptions and payments they were entitled to; it seems users on the above-mentioned Reddit post share our sentiments. You can see examples of reports at the SweepsKings Forums too – we’ll include some below:

Indeed, SweepSlots gained quite a reputation for not paying out, so we’re glad to see it go. The industry doesn’t need these scammy sites that give legitimate sweepstakes and social casinos a bad name.

And it’s worth noting that the closure announcement claims redemptions will be honored, but new ID verifications are no longer being processed. Combined with SweepSlots’ previous track record, it’s highly unlikely users will be able to claim anything at all before the platform disappears.

SweepSlots Launches Memecoin

What makes this whole situation all the more shady is SweepSlots recently launched its own Discord and memecoin. Yes, since June 4, the brand has been making announcements about $SWEEPSLOTS on its X profile.

Memecoins are known for often turning into rug pulls or pump-and-dump projects, and with the SweepSlots name attached, we’d be very doubtful that anything positive could be gained from being involved.

To sum up, not disclosing the shuttering of the platform while launching a token is deceptive, and this whole situation seems like SweepSlots is trying to squeeze the last bit of money out of players via a speculative token launch. In fact, looking at the price chart, it seems any hype that the coin had started to fall off around June 7.

We’re certainly not sorry to see SweepSlots close its casino. There’s no room for operators like it in the sweepstakes industry, and let’s hope that players are savvy enough not to fall for the memecoin.
