The casino at hand doesn’t have a ubiquitous social media presence, but at least its Facebook page is alive and kicking, with promos being posted every week for free Fun Coins and Gold Slips.

I made it plain clear in my GoldSlips overview that the casino doesn’t have too many games. Its exact number may vary, as the game library may get some additions, but for now we are looking at around two dozen slot and casino games.

Although limited in number, the offer is rather diverse. With your GoldSlips no deposit bonus you can explore slots, two bingo games, Texas hold’em, aces high and rock-paper-scissors.

Most of the games are slots and surprisingly for a small-scale casino, there are a couple of unique gameplay mechanics: grid-based and cascading reels. These are in addition to all the standard payline slots.

The casino does well to present its functioning as a legal sweepstakes casino. I found legit T&Cs, sweepstakes rules, privacy policy and a business name and address. That much is guaranteed, this isn’t some offshore company trying to evade US laws. Even though 16 US states where GoldSlips is restricted are too many, this tells me that the company has done its legal due diligence.

My issue with GoldSlips is in its choice of provider. The company labeled as Ruby is the sole provider of games, and it isn’t clear whether the brand is associated with the respected RubyPlay. While this provides exclusivity, it raises suspicion regarding the games’ fairness. All of the top sweepstakes casinos on SweepsKings are stocked by licensed providers with games tested by independent companies.

One proof of confidence is given by the fact that GoldSlips provides live chat and email for support. My reasoning is, if the operator has something to hide, they won’t be too keen on receiving hate mail.

Given GoldSlips’ basic structure and limited number of casino games, the social casino doesn’t require a lot of horsepower. The platform itself does well to handle moves like switching between games on a whim or playing on mobile. My impression is that the website can take on a lot more games and players.

When it comes to finding games, there is really no need for categories. On every game image there is a small label in the corner, designating the game either as “Hot” or “New”. What’s missing from the picture is game info, as there is no way to find out the volatility level or Return to Player percentage.

I wasn’t surprised to find other social casinos from the same company. Ruby Sweeps is kind of a replica of GoldSlips, while PeakPlay is different altogether in terms of games and providers. Loyal Royal was also part of the fam but shut down in 2024.

How It Stacks Up

Ruby Sweeps offers games from the same provider, including a welcome bonus with the same amount of coins as the GoldSlips bonus. On the other hand, PeakPlay, is a lot more decent as it offers games from providers like Nolimit City and Big Time Gaming (BTG).

Other comparable websites are better than GoldSlips by a wide margin. Chumba, for example, doesn’t have more games than, say WOW Vegas, but its collection is well curated and offers lots of different games of chance.

Our Experts Verdict

GoldSlips seems like a half-hearted attempt to create a sweepstakes casino, but I don’t want to be too quick to dismiss it. It could be that the operator is getting it ready for the big league. After all, it’s obvious that they know how to work a decent casino, in the example of PeakPlay.

Nevertheless, presently GoldSlips is really an entry-level affair with a set of basic games and not much diversity with regard to gameplay systems. Sure, there are virtual card games but peek over in another venue and you’ll find live dealer games.
