PICKEM App Review

PICKEM is a social casino and sportsbook app that describes itself as the “next generation” of social gaming.

Owned by a US company called Joyloop, the team is developing a trailblazing effort that combines social gaming and sports picks with real-money Daily Fantasy Sports.

While the DFS section (called “Picks”) is under construction at the moment, I had a good look at everything else the app offers. Let’s dive into the full PICKEM review for the specifics.

Legal States

Overall, PICKEM is available in 41 US states, and you have to be at least 18 years old to use the app. In some states, like Alabama and Nebraska, a 19+ limit applies, and some regions might have set a 21+ minimum.

Furthermore, the Picks mode (DFS) will be unavailable in around 20 states. Specifically, you can’t access Picks in AZ, CO, SD, IA, MO, MS, AL, TN, IN, OH, VA, MD, DE, PA, MA, VT, NH, and ME.

The fully restricted regions are Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Michigan, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Louisiana.

How PICKEM Works

The PICKEM app uses the classic dual-currency system sweepstakes casinos rely on. There are Gold Coins for free play and Sweeps Coins pegged to USD and redeemable for cash prizes after accumulating 100+ through gameplay.

You can purchase Gold Coin packs that include free Sweeps Coins, but you can’t buy SCs exclusively. Purchases are optional, with bonuses and promotions providing both of these coins for free.

Beyond GC and SC, PICKEM also utilizes Tokens, which are the free-play sports betting currency. Once the Picks feature is live, the platform will also support USD for real-money DFS.

The first thing you get at PICKEM is a no deposit bonus of 50,000 GC + 1 SC. Register using your email, verify your phone number, and you’re all set.

If you’re willing to make a GC pack purchase, PICKEM has a host of premium-value deals. There are six options, and you can claim up to 1M Gold Coins + 50 Free SC. Other deals include:

The value is through the roof for the lower-priced deals. The first two welcome packs are 500% boosts, which is rare in the social gaming sphere.

Bonuses Review

As a regular player, I was glad to see the Free Gold Coin Refill feature. Whenever you run out of free-play coins, you get 1,000 GCs for free – anytime, anywhere. This upholds the “no purchase necessary” policy and I appreciate PICKEM for featuring this bonus.

Then there are the Daily Login Rewards. Consecutive logins pay better per usual, and this is what you get for becoming a PICKEM regular:

• Day 1: 2,000 GC + 0.3 SC
• Day 2: 4,000 GC + 0.3 SC
• Day 3: 6,000 GC + 0.3 SC
• Day 4: 8,000 GC + 0.5 SC
• Day 5: 10,000 GC + 0.5 SC
• Day 6: 15,000 GC + 0.5 SC
• Day 7+: 20,000 GC + 0.5 SC

So as soon as you reach Day 7, you are locked in to receive 20k GCs and 0.5 SC every day. That’s a solid deal!

Another way to score free SCs is through the AMOE bonus. Send a handwritten letter to the address outlined under Sweepstakes Rules, and you will receive the 3 SCs snail-mail bonus.

PICKEM also hosts the Trophy Road for players using Tokens in Career Mode. Essentially, you will score Trophies if you perform well in Arenas. The more Trophies you score, the bigger the arenas and the GC rewards, but also tougher the competitions.

Players can also unlock GC and Card copies through Bags and Chests in Career mode. The same goes for Daily and Weekly Missions. I appreciate that once you unlock a new Arena, you can’t be demoted to the previous level. Your status is permanent.

PICKEM Casino-Style Games

On the casino gaming front, PICKEM hosts 500+ games that cover all the categories: slots, table games, live dealers, arcade games. This is all available in the Social Casino section of the PICKEM site, with games powered by high-level studios like Hacksaw and BGaming.

Then there’s the Career Mode, which unlocks a free-to-play points-based competition with real-match sports predictions.

Finally, the Picks mode is a work in progress that will unlock a skill-based daily fantasy PvP game for real money. SweepsKings will cover this feature once it’s unveiled, but for now, let’s discuss your current gaming options at the PICKEM app.

You must download the PICKEM app and sign in to check the lobby. Once in, it’s easy to navigate the selection, and you can even see some of the key info for some of the games. I would appreciate the ability to sort the games by RTP, though.

PICKEM sticks to the basics on the banking front, with full support for major credit/debit cards and online bank transfers. You can also use Google Pay and Apple Pay to make in-app purchases, and I appreciate that cards are also eligible for redemptions.

Speaking of which, you need 100 played-through SCs to request a payout, which is also capped at $2,500 per withdrawal. Florida residents can redeem up to $5k per month, while players from all other eligible states can claim up to $15k each month.

Regular GC packs start at $4.99. The packages go up to $499.99, and each includes free SCs in the mix.

You can see your wallet and Coin count in the top menu, and the store is accessed by clicking the “+” sign. Making purchases in the PICKEM app is simple and effective, without unnecessary steps. Redemptions become available after you’ve verified your account and accumulated enough SC through gameplay.

Is PICKEM Legit?

PICKEM is owned by Joyloop, Inc., an industry newcomer. This team has no other social gaming sites we were able to locate. Still, the initial PICKEM social sports app was launched in April 2024, and the company has optimized its software to a T before the September 2025 social casino rollout.

As noted, all the games on-site come from regulated game providers, and the site fully adheres to the industry rules, especially with the unlimited GC refills.

Phone and email verification are required right out of the gate, with further KYC checks before you can make your first pack purchase. Player feedback is pending at the moment, but the PICKEM app has been downloaded over 10,000 times already, so user reviews should come about any moment.

The replies took a bit longer than I would like, especially via live chat. With 24+ hours needed to get a reply, there isn’t much difference between using email and the chat box. Still, no bots here, it’s human agents all the way.

The Help Center is top-quality, too, with well over 100 topics covered in decent depth. The library is easy to search through, which is another plus.

PICKEM is a mobile-only social gaming site. Although you can use the iOS app on your MacBook, the software is optimized for smartphone or tablet use, and there’s no other way to access the platform.

The app looks fun and vibrant. More importantly, it’s easy to navigate. You can filter games by type and popularity, and load times are solid.

Although the initial version of the PICKEM app launched in April 2024, this social gaming site is still Joyloop’s sole endeavor in this industry. While it has no sister sites, there are plenty of PICKEM alternatives for you to consider.

How It Stacks Up

While PICKEM is indeed taking a different step in market innovation, it’s not perfect. You might be disappointed by the lack of more traditional sports options, in which case we recommend visiting Legendz or Kickr.

As the ultimate sweepstakes sports + casino destination, Sportzino is still No. 1 in the SweepsKings book, but again, PICKEM can hold its own, and that’s great!

In terms of DFS, Casino, and Picks combo – PICKEM would be the most comparable to SportsMillions, a social casino that failed to keep the lights open. Hopefully this brand succeeds where the B2-owned social sportsbook and casino failed.

PICKEM gets a thumbs up from the SweepsKings team. We like the innovation and how the team is on track to mix the sweepstakes casino concept with real-money DFS wagers.

The social casino gets a thumbs up for variety, too, and while there is room for improvement and not everyone likes the mobile-only approach, there is no reason to avoid this place.
