Fortune Zombie is a zombie-themed fish shooter arcade game from TaDa Gaming, launched in late 2024. It’s played as a shooter game in rooms that can fit up to 3 players, and every shot fired is a wager, and every zombie hit can lead to a payout. Instead of reels and paylines, you get big guns to shoot down the terrifyingly mutated zombies to blast them off the screen. There are four different stages, and each stage is set in a different place. When you first launch the game, you need to choose your character between the Sheriff, Firefighter, or Explorer, and once you finish the training, you’re set on a mission to defend against the zombies by hunting them down.

The first stage is the dystopian Vegas Void, where you’re given a gun and you can start shooting. The betting range is from 0.1 to 5, and you need to aim and shoot down the zombies on the screen. Each zombie provides a different reward, with mini zombies being the easiest to shoot down but providing the lowest value, and vice versa.

The RTP of the game is 96.5% and the volatility is low, but since it’s a shooter game, the volatility largely depends on your bet size and the zombies you shoot at.

What sets this game apart from other shooting games is the variety of interactive bonus features. About Fortune Zombie: Game Overview

Fortune Zombie is a skill-influenced arcade shooter from TaDa Gaming that combines casual gameplay with casino-style payouts. The game has its own storyline, missions, and stages, so it resembles a mobile game more than a casino-style game. The graphics, animations, and effects are also much better than what you would expect from a casino game.

The action is happening over four evolving stages: Vegas Void, Grand Central, Forsaken Funland, and Cryptic Virus Lab. Each zone has been attacked by zombies and brings a new background setting, zombie types, and a different stage boss.

For example, the boss at the Grand Central stage is Doomtrain, the master of the train station who summons trains at will. Once the boss is defeated or retreats, players move on to the next setting. You cannot change the stages at will.

Instead of spinning reels, at Fortune Zombie, you fire shots at zombies using weapons like a machine gun and a grenade. Every shot is a bet, and even if you miss a target, it bounces off the walls until it hits a target. Hitting the zombies can trigger bonuses such as multipliers, special zombie drops, or even a dice game or the Wheel of Fortune.

The game is multiplayer, designed for 1 to 3 players per room, and you can all shoot at the same targets or different targets on the screen. The wins at Fortune Zombie are rather frequent due to the low volatility, but the max win potential of 3,000x is above-average for shooter games – and so is the RTP of 96.5%. Notably, the game is a clear step forward from earlier TaDa fish shooters like Dragon Fortune, and offers more depth, better visuals, and a lot more features.

Fortune Zombie Game Information

Fortune Zombie doesn’t follow a traditional slot structure. There are no reels, rows, or paylines. It’s a real-time shooting game where you need to shoot at moving zombie creatures to take them down and score wins. The entire screen is the playing area, and there are all types of targets.

To start, you first choose your character (this doesn’t change anything gameplay-wise), and set the bet level between 0.1 and 5 per shot. Each shot counts as one wager, and you can adjust it while playing.

Then, you just need to aim at any zombie on screen and fire, or select a zombie, click the Lock button, and your aim will lock to the target until you take it down, switch to another target, or run out of coins.

There’s also the option to turn on Auto Shoot and select exactly which targets you want to shoot, set the total Auto Shoots, and even turn on Auto-Fire for the Grenade.

There are no fixed symbols, but a variety of zombies, and each zombie has a different payout. Mini zombies pay from 1.2x to 9x the wager.

The medium zombies, represented by Cartooth, Lootombie, and Cookdoom, pay out consecutive base multipliers when being shot at (for example, from 10x to 50x for Cartooth), and they can be taken down to trigger the highest multiplier.

And then there are the special zombies, like:

• Hoardgoyle, which rewards based on a dice roll
• Giltomb, an immortal mummy that can’t die but awards multipliers until he vanishes.
• Kaboomer, who carries a bomb on his head and drops it down after his death, potentially taking down more zombies in the surrounding area.

Other special zombies that appear in Fortune Zombie are Rushdown and Necroser.

• Rushdown charges across the map after being shot at, potentially taking down more zombies, and offers a multiplier of up to 160x.
• Necroser carries a crystal ball, and if he drops it when taken down, the ball might absorb other zombies too, resulting in a bigger win.

30-Minute Shooting Test at Fortune Zombie

I started my Fortune Zombie test with 2,000 coins in my bankroll, and after I completed the training, I was set at the first stage – Vegas Void. I started shooting smaller targets with a bet size of 1 coin, and although wins occurred frequently, they were on the lower side.

So, I started shooting bigger targets to monitor my progress. I noticed that I had the best luck with the Giltomb special symbol that doesn’t vanish, but awards 50x multipliers.

It was all fun and games, but in a typical low-volatility fashion, my bankroll remained largely the same. So, I decided to turn it up a notch and use the max stake of 5 coins per shot, and the gameplay instantly changed. Now, my bankroll was dropping rather quickly, but the winnings were more substantial. I got lucky and won multiple Giltomb multipliers in a row, so I won more than 1,000 coins, and my bankroll was sitting at over 3,000.

The boss appeared, but I didn’t manage to take it down, so after he left, it was time for stage two – the Grand Central.

Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side here, and despite trying many different targets, I lost more than half of my bankroll on this stage. I didn’t get to shoot down this boss either, so it was time for stage three – the Forsaken Funland. Here, the Giltomb made a reappearance, my favorite zombie of the bunch!

Not only that I won several 50x multipliers in a row, but I even won a free Fortune Wheel spin, where I got a 100x multiplier and won 500 coins, which put me at around 2,500 coins. Me and the other players in the room failed to take down the boss yet again, but we made it to stage four.

I kept shooting at the special zombies in stage four until Mechzomb was released. To end my test, I decided to keep shooting at him and see what happens, and I finally got lucky with a Zombie Boss, winning a 200x multiplier (1,000 coins).

After he left, I was taken back to the Vegas Void, and my journey across all four stages took around 30 minutes in total. I concluded my test with exactly 2,332 coins in my bankroll, which means I made a net profit of 332 coins.

Now, a few notes about the game: Although Fortune Zombie lives up to the claimed low volatility, the mini zombie wins are so small that you will likely get bored very quickly and progress to shooting at some of the bigger zombies. Then, the volatility becomes higher, and if you increase the stake size to 5 coins per shot, you can easily spend thousands of coins in seconds. Another thing to point out is that not all special zombies appear at each stage.

So, despite being primarily a game of luck, strategically choosing the targets and stake size is very important in this game.
