Ocean King Jackpot is loaded with extra features and bonus creatures. They’re all activated naturally as you play, so there’s no option to buy a feature like in some slot games. Essentially, killing any but the standard fish activates some feature, and they’re the key to hitting some of the bigger multipliers.
Ocean King Jackpot
Overall Rating
88%If you’re after chill games, Ocean King Jackpot is not the game for you. But if you’re looking for an intense, action-packed fish shooting game where you actually need to pay attention to what’s going on on the screen, Ocean King Jackpot delivers more activity than any other fish shooter I’ve tested.
Admittedly, I wasn’t a massive fan of the game when I first tried it because it seemed too chaotic and crowded, but all it took was 5 minutes to learn what all the features do. And once those features start working in your favor, you’ll like them even more.
The claimed ‘medium volatility’ is never really medium. Ocean King Jackpot has either very low volatility if you shoot at the small fish, or very high volatility if you shoot at the bosses. With that said, I believe the combination of boss multipliers and a progressive jackpot makes it better suited to risk-takers who prefer high volatility social casino games and chase big wins.

Ocean King Jackpot is an arcade-style fish shooting game from TaDa Gaming, and it’s one of the most chaotic casino-style games I’ve played in a while. Like in most shooter games, you sit behind a turret and fire bullets at different fish and sea creatures, and each hit is one bet. It works in the same format as Golden Dragon by KA Gaming and other fish shooters, but Ocean King Jackpot has a lot more going on.
The screen gets crowded with fish and special creatures, and many different featured games and mechanics overlap, so Ocean King Jackpot is definitely a busy game. Thankfully, there’s a handy tutorial that I strongly suggest you use because there are just so many things happening in this game.
Shooting down a fish brings you a reward based on the paytable multiplier, and there are 14 different fish in this undersea world, with the multipliers ranging from 2x to 3,000x. Ocean King Jackpot also has a progressive jackpot system where 0.3% of each bet is contributed towards the Mini, Major, and Mega pots.
You can play Ocean King Jackpot at sweepstakes casinos such as Dara and Rolla, though if you’re new to fish shooters or want to find out more about this game, you can stick with my Ocean King review.

About Ocean King Jackpot: Game Overview
Ocean King Jackpot is one of TaDa Gaming’s flagship fish shooters and sits alongside other similar games from the studio, like Fortune Zombie and Boom Legend. TaDa has been steadily building out this arcade-style portfolio, and Ocean King Jackpot takes the format further with more features, more creatures on screen, and more shooting mechanics than most shooters in the category.
If you’re unfamiliar with these games, fish shooters mix arcade gameplay with casino payouts. You control a turret and shoot fish and sea creatures as they swim across the screen. If you manage to kill a fish before it disappears, you’re paid based on the paytable multiplier. Each bullet you shoot is one bet, so if you were to take down a fish with a 1 coin bet and the multiplier is 200x, you’ll win 200 coins.
It’s still a game of luck, but unlike slots, your choice of target can make a difference. Also, the game is multiplayer, and there can be up to 4 players on the screen, shooting at the same fish.
Where Ocean King Jackpot differs from other fish shooting games is in the number of bonus mechanics and extra features. There are 14 regular fish, plus numerous special creatures and shooting mechanics, including Dark Whirlpool, Vortex Fish, Chain Lightning, Awakening Boss, Super Sea King, and more. None of these features is too complex by itself, but when a few of them overlap (as they often do!), the game becomes very crowded.
On top of all these extras, Ocean King Jackpot also runs a three-tier progressive jackpot (Mini, Major, and Mega), funded by a small contribution from every bet of 0.3%.
Ocean King Jackpot Information
Since Ocean King Jackpot is a fish shooter game, it doesn’t use reels or paylines. The entire screen serves as the play area, and different sea creatures swim from all directions while players shoot at them. Your turret sits on one of the corners, and each shot is a wager. You set the bullet value before you start playing, and you can adjust it at any time during the game.
The controls are simple: you can aim and shoot manually, lock onto specific fish, or enable Auto Shoot.
Auto Shoot also lets you filter which fish you want to target, and this is a very useful feature of Ocean King Jackpot because it has many more creatures than standard shooters, and when the screen gets crowded, it’s hard to manually aim and shoot at the fish you want to take down.
The paytable has 14 different types of fish and creatures, including:
- Normal Fish: They have multipliers from 2x to 20x (smallest to biggest one) and don’t have any other special features.
- Medium & Giant Fish: They have multipliers from 10x to 100x and are harder to kill than normal fish, but don’t have special features.
- Feature Crabs: They have higher multipliers, from 20x to 800x, and they activate special features when killed, like a bomb or a mini roulette table.
- Awakening Boss: There are 4 awakening boss creatures: the Mermaid, Ancient Crocodile, Ghost Ship, and Thunder Dragon, and the multipliers can reach 1,980x. They all have their own unique special features.
- Super Sea King: There are two ‘superboss’ creatures, the Rock Skeleton and Vampire King, and they carry the highest multipliers of up to 2,400x and 3,000x, respectively.
Besides the standard bullets, there are two different special weapons you can use: Phoenix Power and Dragon Power.
Phoenix Power costs 5x the bet amount, but increases the kill rate by 5, which means that if you kill a fish with x20 multiplier, your bet is multiplied by the fish payout multiplier divided by 5, so you’ll win 4x your bet.
The second special weapon is the Dragon Power, which costs 7x the bet amount and locks onto a target and attacks all the fish around it, so you might take down multiple fish while shooting at one target. The payouts are calculated by multiplying the bet by the fish multiplier and divided by 7.
The Flame Bomb is yet another special shooting mechanic that’s activated randomly during the shooting process and it can trigger a flame bomb that attacks random fish species in the fishing ground.
Ocean King Jackpot Features
Feature Crabs
Feature Crabs are mid-tier bonus creatures that trigger effects when taken down, and they all serve different functions:
- Bomb Crab triggers a chain explosion that can kill multiple fish around it.
- Drill Crab drills through the screen before exploding, allowing you to select a launch area where it can kill multiple creatures.
- Hammer Crab calls down thunder strikes that hit surrounding fish.
- Laser Crab gives you a short laser beam that automatically hits targets.
- Wheel Crab starts a roulette-style mini bonus game where the prize depends on where the wheel lands, up to 800x.
Special Features
Ocean King Jackpot also includes special creatures that, when taken down, can activate a Vortex or Lightning Chain:
- Vortex Fish is a creature that looks like a sea turtle and when killed, it pulls all matching fish into one spot, making them easier to target.
- Lightning Chain activates lightning that jumps between fish after activation, and the feature can grant you an extra 20-200x reward.
Dark Whirlpool
The Dark Whirlpool feature can be manually triggered when the energy bar is filled up. It fills up by shooting and taking down creatures, and when active, the Dark Whirlpool will attack all fish on the screen, with a chance to create a large payout.
Awakening Boss
Awakening Boss creatures are high-value bosses that can trigger bonus games or extra multipliers once defeated. There are 4 special Awakening Boss creatures:
- Mermaid can trigger an awakening performance with added bonus hits.
- Ancient Crocodile can trigger an awakening performance where it hunts down fish, and you get a higher bonus for more kills.
- Ghost Ship can trigger a ‘collision’ bonus with a multiplier of up to 1,200x when taken down.
- Thunder Dragon has a base multiplier and can apply awakening multipliers up to 1,980x.
Super Sea King
The Super Sea Kings are the ultimate bosses in Ocean King Jackpot and offer the highest multipliers. However, they’re the hardest to kill, so they’re the highest-volatility targets in the game.
- Vampire King increases its multiplier while being shot at, and once captured, it can apply another bonus multiplier up to 5x. The maximum multiplier can reach 3,000x.
- Rock Skeleton performs a full-screen attack that can wipe the field and award payouts up to 2,400x when taken down.
Progressive Jackpot
Ocean King Jackpot includes a three-tier progressive jackpot (Mini, Major, and Mega). Every shot contributes 0.3% to the prize pool, and any fish kill can trigger a jackpot draw.
There’s no cap on the Mega jackpot, and if two jackpots hit at nearly the same time, the first winner gets the full prize while the second receives the reseeded value, which is 2,500x the bet.
Game Specs: RTP & Volatility
Ocean King Jackpot lists a 97% RTP, but unlike slots, this percentage is split between multiple components: 94.5% of it is the base game, 1.2% for the fixed jackpot, 0.3% for the progressive jackpot, and 1% for Dark Whirlpool feature.
TaDa labels the volatility as medium, though in practice it feels higher, especially when you focus on the boss creatures.
30-Minute Shooting Test at Ocean King Jackpot
I started my 30-minute shooting test of Ocean King Jackpot by taking the tutorial first and reading all the game info because you do need to learn what each feature does. My starting balance was 2,000 coins, and I started shooting with a bet of 1 coin.
I first tried aiming myself, but I realized that’s impossible because the screen is very crowded, so I used the lock mode and chose to shoot at the boss fish – so I’d say that’s the highest risk mode.
A few minutes in, and I had already taken down a boss fish, so my balance was ~2,250 coins. I tried setting the bet level to 5 coins per bullet, but I felt like my bankroll was dropping very quickly, so I returned to 1-coin-per-bullet and turned the Phoenix Power feature on. I kept shooting at medium to high-value fish and got lucky to even hit the Mini jackpot, so my bankroll was ~3,500 coins.
To properly test the game, I decided to focus on smaller fish now – and that was a good decision. Ocean King Jackpot has many extra features, even when shooting at smaller targets, so even taking down a creature like the Bomb Crab can lead to a big win.
Speaking of big wins, by the end of my test, I took down multiple medium-tier fish in a row, and I completed my 30-minute Ocean King Jackpot test with over 7,000 coins in my bankroll. Considering that I started the session with 2,000 coins, I’d say that this was one very lucky session, and the game is so intense and fast that I barely had time to blink.
