4 Pots Riches isn’t a ground-breaking game by any stretch. Compared to similar Playson slots, you won’t find a free spins bonus. All the action revolves around the Hold and Win round, which is not hard to trigger and can pay out big thanks to the several random features. The reason I think 4 Pots Riches Hold and Win is great for sweeps players is the consistency of base game wins that keep you in the game as you are spinning for the bonus trigger. From the 4 pots, my favorite is the instant collect, but nothing beats triggering all at once!

If 4 Pots Riches sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the sequel to 3 Pots Riches. Playson has kept the classic Irish jig, the bucolic countryside backdrop, and the mischievous Leprechaun, but they’ve added an extra pot, a new jackpot, and doubled the max jackpot. At its heart, 4 Pots Riches is the quintessential Irish slot. 4 Pots Riches sits on a familiar 5-reel, 3-row grid. Don’t let that fool you, though! When you land a Super Pot symbol, the grid can suddenly swell to 5×5, creating extra room for coin multipliers and even the massive 10,000x Super Jackpot.
Despite the expanding action, unfortunately, you are still limited to 25 fixed winlines, so no matter how much you wager, you need to hit 3 to 5 matching symbols along a line to claim a prize.
The top-paying symbols lean into Irish charm. Sip on a frothy mug of Guinness to score up to 6x, or pluck a hand-carved harp to leave yourself 8x richer.
Low-paying symbols are your standard royals but with nice Celtic carvings. Also, watch out for the cheeky Leprechaun wild, who appears on all reels except the first and can expand to cover an entire reel.
Finally, special pearl, purple, blue, and red clover coin symbols are collected in pots above the grid, and when filled, they can randomly trigger different versions of the Hold and Win bonus.
To bring the reels to life, use the + and – buttons to set your stake from 0.20 SC up to 50 SC and then hit the spin button. The blue coin triggers the Collect version of Hold and Win. When a blue coin appears during the feature, all coins on the reels are instantly collected, including jackpots.

I opened up 4 Pots Riches, eager to explore Ireland, praying the Leprechaun was in a good mood or had perhaps consumed a little too much Guinness. I started with a 300 SC bankroll and decided to risk 1 SC per spin for 200 spins, irrespective of if rainbows were shining or I ended up stuck in an Irish bog.
Early on, red coins kept hitting, but my luck with the Mystery bonus never came through. After 5 dead spins in a row, two Leprechaun wilds finally appeared, giving me a tidy 10 SC win.
Over the next 20 spins, I hit two purple coins back-to-back. The purple pot of gold wobbled teasingly, but the Hold and Win bonus remained elusive. Luckily, the occasional pint of Guinness kept my bankroll roughly even.
After another 20 frustrating spins, I decided to hold down the spin button to enable turbo mode, and that’s when my session took a turn. A Super Pot symbol landed, the grid expanded to 5×5, and the real fun began.
